IN THE MATTER OF PAVING NORTH AND SOUTH OLIVE STREETS IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 198 A RESOLUTION OF THE 80ARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE PAVING OF THE ROADWAY OF A PORTION OF N©RTE AND SOUTH OLIVE STREETS IN SAID CITY. .RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM: SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience require and that it ib the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim to order the following described street work to be done in said city, to -wit: That the roadway of South and North Olive Streets, from the northerly line of East Santa Ana Street to the center line of East La Palma. Avenue, excepting therefrom all street intersections already paved, be graded to the official grade and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement five (5) inches thick and varying from thirty seven (37) feet to thirty nine and six tenths (39.6) feet in width between curbs, with 24 inch by 8J inch corrugated iron culverts across said roadway at each side of East Alberta Street, and 20 inch by 4J inch morrugated iron culverts across said roadway at each side of East North Street; that standard Portland cement concrete curbs be constructed to the official grade where not already constructed along said roadway to be improved; and that a _11ey and driveway crossings and approaches adjoining said roadwayq``;be improved, where such crossings or approaches have not been constructed or have become broken, be graded to the official grade and paved or repaved with concrete six (6) inches thick and consisting of a mixture of 1 part Portland cement. parts sand and 3 parts gravel or crushed rock. SECTION 2: That,whereas, said contemplated work add, improve- ment, in the opinion of the Board of is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, said Board hereby makes the expense of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district within said City of Anaheirp, which district said Board hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which said district includes all or a part of each of the following lots or parcels of sand within said city, to -wit: Lots X to 17 inclusive, Block A. Laird Subdivision, as per map recorded in Book 6 P 12, Miacellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; Lots 4 to 20 inclusive, Block L, and Lots 7 to 26 inclusive, Block C, Center Tract, as per map recorded in Book 14, Page 13, Mis- cellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; Lots 1 to 6 inclusive, and lots 23 to 32 inclusive, Smith & Dean's Resubdivision, as per map recorded in Book 4, Page 31, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; The westerly 141.15 feet of the northerly 10 feet of the southerly 414,08 feet of Block A, Hotel Del Campo Tract, as per map recorded in Book 24, Pages 69 and 702 Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County; _1 Lots 1,2 and 8 Rimpau Square, as per map recorded in Book 15, Page 20 Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County; Lots 5,6,7 and S. SECTION 3: That said Bork shall be done in accordance with th e plans and specifications therefor, which o.id plans were approved and adopted by the Board of Trustees of said City on the 24th day of September, 1925, and are marked and designated "Paving Plan, South Olive Street,Sheet No. 1" and "Paving illan,North Olive Street, Sheets Nos. 2,3 and 4, Street Improvement No. 46," and are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and which said specifications are entitled aid designated "Specifications No. 34, !or the Construction of Asphaltic Concrete Pavement, City of Anahei*,California", approved and adopted June 25, 1925, and "General Specifications No. 36, ror Public Mork, City of Anaheim,California ", approved and adopted August 27, 1925, and are on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. Also, reference is hereby made to Ordinance No. 404 of said City for specifications governing cement curb, sidewalk and driveway xonstruction and to "Specifications No. 40" for corrugated Iron culverts. SECTION 4 =, That the vosts and expenses of all work done on main and subdivision street crossings, intersections and opposite termina- tions shall be 'paid out of the treasury of said city. SECTION 5: That the costs and expenses of all work done on the easterly half of said roadwsly between the southerly line of East Broadway and a line parallel therewith and distbmt 321.55 feet southerly therefrom shall be paid by Anaheim School District, in accordance with a Resolution passed and adopted by the Board of Trus- tees of said School District at a meeting be ld on the 21st day of September, 1926. SECTION 6: That serial bonds shall be issued to represent assessments of $25.00 or over for the coat and expenses of said work and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a period of nine years from the second day of January next succeeding the fifteenth day pf the next November following their date, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on th6 2nd day of January of each year following the fifteen- th day of the next November after their date, until the whole is paid, and the interest shall be paid semi - annually, by coupon, on the 2nd days of January and July,respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven percent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. SECTION 7: That - rhNr -5da , the * th. day of November, 1926, at the our o gh o {c oekP.M., at tEe Council Chamber of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, in the City Hall, in said city, is hereby fixed as the time and Place when and where any and all persons having objections to the Proposed work or improvements may appear before said Board of Trustees and show cause why such proposed work and improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution; provided, that all such protests must be in writing and must be delivered to the City Clerk before the hour set for the hearing of objections.. -3- SECTION 8: h %a Anaheim Bulletin is hereby designated as the newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, in which this resolution shall be published, and the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to publish this resolution by two successive insertions in said newspaper. That the Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or improvement and in front of all property liable to be assessed, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and fora required by. Law. That all of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be done and said serial bonds shall be issued under and in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911. and all acts amendatory thereof.
