IN THE MATTER OF PAVING
NORTH LEMON STREET
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0, 195
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION. -TO ORDER THE PAVING OF A CERTAIN
PORTION OF NORTH LEMON STREET IN SAID CITY.
RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience
require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
df the City of Anaheim to order the following described street
work to be done in said city, to -wit:
That the roadway of forth Lemon Street, from t7ge
northerly line of West North Street to the south line of
'hest La Palma Avenue (excepting therefrom the central
twenty -two (22) feet of said roadway which is already paved)
be graded to the official grade and paved with asphaltic
concrete pavement five (5) inches thick and forty-three and twenty -
five hundredths (43.25) feet in width between curbs.
AND WHEREAS, said contemplated work and improvement, in
the opinion of the Board o:rTrustees, is of more than local or
ordinary public benetit, said Board hereby makes the expense
of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district
within said City of Anaheim, which district egid Board hereby
declares to be the district benefited by said work and im-
provement and to�be assessed to pay the costs and expenses
thereof, which said district includes the following lots
within said city; to -wit:
ots 1 to 5 inclusive, Sunset Tract, as per map recorded
in Bo 6k 12 Page 33, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
C+punty, California;
Lots 1 to 7 inclusive, Bellair Tract, as per map. recorded
in Book 12, Page 23, Miscellaneous maps, Records of Orange County;
Lots 1 to 13 inclusive, Block A, Wallop Subdivision, as per
map recorded in Book lb, Page 41, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County;
Lots 1 and,% La Verne Addition, as per map recorded in
Book 15 Page 38, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County;
Lots 1 to 19 inclusive, Block A. Wilke Addition, as per
map recorded in 11, Page 38, Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County;
And Lots 1 to 9 inclusive, Scenic Tract,, as per map
recorded in 3ook 13, Page 11 Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County;
The boundaries of said district are as sown on mapsthereof
marked and designated "Diagram showing district to be assessed
for improvements on North Lemon Street, pursuant to Resolution
Of Intention No. 195, of the Board of Trustees of the City
of California," which said maps are on file in the
office of the City Engineer of said city.
SECTION 2: The Board of Trustees hereby orders
that the costs and expenses of all work done on street
crossings and street intersections be paid out of the treasury
of said City, and the Superintendent. of Streets, in making up
the assessment herein provided for the costs and e;,- penses
of said work, shall first deduct from the whole cost and
expense such part thereof as is hereby ordered to be paid out
of the municipal treasury as aforesaid.
SECTION B: Said work shall be done in accordance with the
plan, profile and specifications therefor, which plan and profile
was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by
resolution on the 14th day of January, 1926, and is marked and
designated "Paving Plan, North Lemon Street, Street Improvement
No. 48 is on file in the office of the City Engineer of said
City; and which said specifications are on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said City, and are entitled and
designated as follows, to -wit :
"General Specifications No. 36, Series of 1925, For Public
Mork, City of Anaheim, California," approved and adopted by
the Board of Trustees on the 27th day of August, 1925, and
" Specifications ado. 34, Series of 1924, P)or the Construction
of Asphaltic Concrete Pavement, City of Anaheim, California,"
approved and adopted by the Board of Trustees on the 25uh day
of June, 1925.
BiECTION 4: Notice is hereby given that on Thursday,the 11th
day of February, 1926, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M.,
at the Council Chamber of the Board df Trustees of the City
of Anaheim, in the City Hall at 204 East Center Street in said
city, any and all persons having any objections to the proposed
work or improvement may appear before said Board of Trustees
and show cause why said proposed work and improvement should not
be carried out in accordance with this resolution; provided,
all such protests must be in writing and must be delivered to
the City Clerk before the hour set for hearing of objections.
SECTION 5: Said Board of Trustees hereby further
determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent
assessments of $25.00 or over for the cost azU expenses of said
work and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend
over a period of nine years from the second day of January
next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November following
their date, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum
thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January
of each year following the fifteenth day of the next November
after their date, until the whole his paid, and the interest
shall be paid semi.- annually, by coupon, on the 2nd days
of January and july,respectively, of each year, at the rate of
seven percent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of
said principal and interest are paid.
SECTION 6: The Anaheim Bulletin is hereby designated
as the newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City
in which this resolution shall be published,and the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim is Hereby directed t& publish this
resolution by two successive insertions in said newspaper,
The Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to be
posted conspicuously along the line of said contemplated
work or improvement and in front of all the property liable
to be assessed, notice of the passage of this Resolution of In-
tention in the manner and form required by Law;

All of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be
done and said serial bonds shall be issued under and in pursuance
of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California
designated the "Improvement Act of 1911," and all acts
amendatory thereof. '
The foregoing Resolution of Intention is signed, approved
and attested be my this 14 day of 1926.
