To whom it may concern, I have lived in this area for the majority of my life and was proud to be part of the first graduating class from Canyon High School. I currently own homes in the Hills and in Villa Park, and I care deeply about the safety and future of our community. I have written to you before regarding my concerns about the proposed development. Unfortunately, it appears that financial considerations are being prioritized over public safety. I fundamentally disagree with this approach from our elected representative. Your number one responsibility should be to keep your constituents safe. The current fire evacuation plan is flawed on multiple levels. It does not adequately account for existing traffic volume, let alone the additional congestion this development would create. In the event of another fire of any meaningful size, I fear that lives could be lost. That is not an acceptable risk. I see no justification for moving forward with this building project until meaningful infrastructure improvements — including additional road access — are completed. Furthermore, the current evacuation signage is inadequate and must be significantly improved. As a member of your constituency, I strongly urge you to vote no on this proposal until safety is fully addressed and assured. On March 3, many of us will be watching closely to see who prioritizes the well-being of our community. Respectfully, Aline Young
