Do not click links or open attachme nts unle ss you recognize the sender and are expecting the message. Dear Honorable Mayor Aitkin and Anaheim City Council Members, I appreciate you as you serve our great City of Anaheim. I am asking you to Please help keep me safe! As a long-term Anaheim resident and a 40+ year Anaheim employee…I ask you to please vote “NO” on apartments or hi gh- density housing projects in East Anaheim. Adding more homes in East Anaheim is beyond reckless. The TERROR I experienced duri ng the 2017 evacuati ons and two times since…I had to literally walk out of my neighborhood with animals in duffle bags because we were gri dlocked wi th thousands of cars fleeing Anaheim hills and even more passing thru. This is something that MUST be acknowledged and action taken to never allow a repeat. The “know you way” evacuation plan is flawed and has never been tested. Could we plan a multi -city test? Our RESIDENTIAL neighborhood is at the far East of Anaheim (Santa Ana Canyon/Weir C anyon), and we are burdened wi th grid lock traffic through our residential neighborhood each time the 91 freeway has a sig-alert or heavy traffic. I’ve experienced numerous 2-hour commute to drive a few miles to get HOME. Inland Empire commuters CUT through our resi denti al neighborhood to bypass city streets. Our neighborhood has become gridlocked and unsafe. More on thi s problem later. I’m begging you please DO NOT add more housing to this already congested and chokepoi nt portion of Anahei m. Respectfully, Lannie Sircable 8424 E. Amberwood St. Anaheim, CA 92808
