Dear Council Member,
I am writing to you as a resident of Anaheim to ask you to please vote "No" on the proposed apartments at the Anaheim Hills Festival Center. I
lived here during the Canyon Fire 2 in 2017, and by the time we were ready to evacuate, we couldn't get out on to La Palma. I live on Allwood
Cir. We had people circling our neighborhood trying to find a way through. THERE IS NOT A WAY THROUGH. The traffic was gridlocked.
La Palma is the only exit out of the tract. We are blocked in by the railroad. The trees were burning at the end of my cul de sac and we could not
leave.
Please also realize that the Oakcrest Heights apartments have been added since the Canyon 2 fire. I was shocked even those were approved.
Consider how bad traffic is in Savi Ranch when John Force has his car show and that isn't an evacuation.
Please don't make an existing danger even worse just for a new development. We are asking you to prioritize the lives and safety of the people
who already live here and pay taxes here.
