Warning: This email originated from outside the City of Anaheim. Do not click links or open attachme nts unle ss you recognize the sender and are expecting the message. Dear City Council, For the following reasons, you must vote NO on the proposed Festival apartment project: 1) The Festival Theater traffic has already been replaced, and exceeded, with Waze/traffic apps DAILY rerouting 1,000’s of 91fwy cars through the East Hills!!! 2) With 3 hour evacuation times, to go 2 1/2 miles from Weir to Imperial Highway, it is irresponsible and dangerous to add more residents to Anaheim Hills, until the infrastructure has been improved so residents can evacuate in a timely & safe manner. A crossing at Fairmont is not going to vastly improve this situation, nor an 241 Fast track connector or 1 added 91fwy lane. Much, much more must be done to improve evacuation times, traffic and safety before more residents and cars are added to the area. 3) The Know Your Way plan is flawed: People will NOT head East towards the fire to evacuate. People with loved ones at home or at private schools will 100% come back into the area to get loved ones. And, there are no staged buses on windy days to evacuate the many private schools & daycares in the area. Until these issues are resolved, no additional housing should be added to this VERY HIGH FIRE SEVERITY ZONE. Protect YOUR residents!!! Sincerely, Grace McGee 31 year resident
