Hello, On Tuesday, President Donald Trump delivered the annual State of the Union address to Congress, which I attended. In addition to the State of the Union, I had a busy week in Washington working for my constituents in California’s 46 Congressional District. Here are some highlights: HONORING IMMIGRANTS AT THE STATE OF THE U NION I w as honored to invite Professor Oliver Lopez as my guest to the State of the Union on February 24th, 2026. After coming to this country undocumented at five years old, Oliver’s strong work ethic led him to earn a PhD in biostatistics and become a mathematics professor at Chapman University. He was a DACA recipient, who became a U.S. Citizen in 2021. Oliver has consistently given back to his communit y by coaching soccer, tutoring kids, and volunteering at his son’s school. He embodies the American Dream and is a shining example of w hy immigrants make America stronger. Dr. Lopez was interview ed by several news outlets, including KTLA, National Telemundo, National Univision, and Spectrum News, about his immigrant experience and speaking up for hard working undocumented immigrants who bring tremendous value to their communit ies. I stand with the victims and my other Congressional colleagues who are putting pressure on the Department of Justice to release all of the files and follow Europe’s lead in holding Epstein’s associates account able. I am moved by the support, especially from an organization that strongly advocates for immigrants and civil rights. Today, LULAC is lead plaintiff on a number of lawsuits challenging the Trump Administration’s illegal policies. Re p. These young ladies have a lot to be proud of. They have been Southern CIF, Empire League, Eastern Division, and Division One Duel Champions, and five w restlers making it to the State CIF Finals. The team accomplished all this w hile also earning an average GPA of 3.48. I also want to thank their coaches for instilling leadership, hard work, and dedication into these talented athletes. Even with this funding, host cities w ill likely cover up to $200M in additional costs, and the LA area is set to host 8 matches. With the games starting in less than 4 months, cities need Sec. Kristi Noem to release the money. Nexst ar reporter Gabrielle Caracciolo interviewed me for KTLA on the topic. KT LA interviews R ep.
