Subject:[EXTERNAL] Vote NO on the 447 Unit Anaheim Hills Proposed Apartments

Dear Council Member(s),
The proposed project makes no sense to our family as residents of Anaheim Hills. First, it is way too dense of a project for our housing
environment. The density makes more sense in an urban downtown area rather than in the suburbs. That amount of apartments, and the traffic it
will generate, will overwhelm our local streets.
Anyone driving on Santa Ana Canyon or on Serrano to Weir Canyon have experienced the daily gridlock on those streets from commuters coming
off the 55 freeway and taking the Hills shortcut to get on the 91 freeway at Weir Canyon. It is absolute gridlock! You can forget emergency
vehicles trying to get through the daily evening gridlock.
Second, the fire we had in the Anaheim Hills created a massive standstill and we were not able to evacuate from our neighborhood for over 2
hours...with smoke filled sky and no traffic control help whatsoever. It was horrific and frightening.
Adding more traffic makes no sense to us as a 30 year resident of this community.
.
Anaheim is a large city and assuredly must have alternative locations for a very dense apartment project. The old Edwards theatre location is a
perfect location for a small residential project and blends in well with our density and will not impact our traffic volume.
Please vote "No" on this project.
Sincerely,
Steve & Kathleen Kabel
