Dear City Council,
This note is to voice my opposition to the Festival Apartment Project. I reside in the East Hills subdivision and we just flat out can’t handle the
huge increase in the number of autos during an evacuation. This was the case during the freeway fires where we were at a dead standstill for hours
just trying to go less than one mile to the 91 Freeway. If you add another 1000 autos to an evacuation we will have no chance and will burn in
place. Please do not approve this project if you truly care about the safety of your residents.
Additionally, the city should seriously consider adding a Fairmont Entrance Ramp to the 91 Freeway for quicker evacuations of all AH residents.
We need another entrance to the 91 because Imperial Hwy ramp and Weir Canyon ramp are not enough for the number of residents in AH.
