I am a res ident of Ana heim on Quiet C anyon C t. In the 92808 zip code. I a m a g a ins t the fes tiva l center property being allowed to have
a larg e a pa rtment development on it. We live in a very hig h fire zone, a s you know. We ha ve been evac ua ted multi pl e times for fires ,
as you know. The las t time was 2017 where it took s evera l hours to eva cuate. I reca ll dri ving up Serra no during the evac ua tion and
s eeing a pa tch of fire jus t s evera l feet from my ca r. Thankfully, that little pa tch didn't g row bi g g er and blow i nto my car due to the very
hig h wind that da y. Since tha t day, the only change I've s een by the city a re little blue s ig ns on pol es pointi ng out my evac ua tion
route. The "Know Your Way" pla n that ha s been put in pla ce is not enforcea ble a nd does not ta ke into a cc ount the extreme s tres s
people are under during a n evacua tion. People will do what they need to do, whether it i s pic k up thei r ki ds at s c hool or pets at home.
An evacua tion during a fire is cha otic, a nd we don't need a nother 1000 cars on the road from this development a ddi ng even more time
to our eva cuation to s a fety.
Als o, has the city cons idered the extra traffic from the cemetery tha t is being pla nned? Are you awa re tha t Sa nta Ana C anyon ea s t of
Weir is a parking lot every afternoon with 100+ cars inching towa rds the freewa y entra nce a s peopl e ha ve c ut throug h our
neig hborhoods to a void the 91 freeway? What is your plan for the a dded tra ffic for the c emetery? How are our s treets g oi ng to handle
extra cars from the cemetery a nd 1000+ cars from this development? Our neig hborhoods c a nnot handle the current a mount of cars
coming throug h.
The movie theatre currently on the property has been clos ed for a few years . In tha t time s i nce it clos ed, the traffic ha s only g otten
much wors e. This project is not offs etting a ny movie theatre traffic. It will a dd tra ffic.
Pleas e lis ten to us , your current res idents of the a rea. I feel like we a ren't being hea rd, a nd you all are s uppos ed to repres ent us . We
are a ll terrified of the next fire a nd the next eva cuation. I don't wa nt to die in my ca r. We've s een this ha ppen i n other citi es . Pleas e
