RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP OF A PORTION OF
NORTH OLIVE. STREET AND A PORTION OF A CERTAIN ALLEY IN THE SCHAFFER
OSWALD SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, "CALIFORNIA.
RESOLVED BY THE BO�,RD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and also the
public convenience require that y � it is the intention of the
Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim to order the following
described street work to be done in said city, to -wit: That a
portion of North Olive Street and a portion of a certain alley,
both of which are situated in the Schaffer- 0swald Subdivision in
said City of Anaheim be closed up, vacated, and abandoned.
SECTION 2: That the land deemed necessary to be taken
therefor: and those portions of said streets her =in proposed to
be closed up are situated within the Schaffer - Oswald Subdivision as
shown on a map recorded in Book 7, page 41, of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California, in said City of Ana-
heim, and are described as follows, to -wit:
Beginr}ing at the southeast corner of Lot 7 of said
Shhafffer- Oswald Subdivision, thence Northwardly along the
easterly line of said Lot 7 one hundred fifty (150) feet;
thence West along the north line of Lots 7 8', and 9 of said
subdivision one hundred fifty (150) feet; thence northwardly
fifteen (15) feet to the southwest corner of Lot 6 of said
subdivision; thence east along the south line of said Lot 6,
one hundred fifty (150) feet; thence northwardly along the
easterly line of Lots 6, 5 4, and 3, of said subdivision, two
hundred ninety one (291) feet to the northeast corner of said
Lot 3; thence East forty (40) feet; thence southwardly along
the present easterly line of Olive Street four hundred
fiftysix (456) feet to the north line of East La Palma Avenue;
thence west forty (40) feet to the place of beginning.
Reserving to the City of Anaheim, for purposes of constructing,
maintaining and operatii}g thereon sanitary sewers and
flushing devises, an eatement over a strip of land teh
(10) feet wide along the northerly two hundred sixty (260)
feet of said ortion of O1tve Street to be vacated,
being five � feet in width on each side of the center
line of sai (5 sanitary sewer as now constructed, and being
nine (9) feet in width east and one (1) foot in width west of
the center line of said Olive Street.
Also reserving to the City of Anaheim the right to
construct, maintain and operate a water supply line over
and across the lands to be vacated, for the purpose of
supplying water to sewer flushing devices now constructed
or which may hereafter be constructed on said vacated lands.

of the lands to be affected and benefited by said work and im-
provement and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and
expeeses thereof, which district is within the said City of
,Anaheim, are particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 9, Schaffer - Oswald
Subdivision, as shown on a map recorded in Book 7, page 41,
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California,
thence northwardly along the west lines' of Lots 9, 6, 5
and 4 of said subdivision, to the northwest corner of
said Lot 4; thence east along the north line of said Lot
4;-100 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 3 of said
subdivision; thence northwardly along the west line of said
Lot 3 to the south::, line of Julianna Street; thence East
along said South line of Julianna Street and said line
extended,200 feet; thence S - 21 - 30" E 456 feet; thence
West along the north line of East La Palma Avenue 300 feet to
place of beginning.
SECTION 4: The Anaheim Bulletin, a daily newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in
said City, is here br designated as the daily newspaper published
and circulated in said city in which the Street Superintendent
notice of the passage of this resolution shall be published.
The Street Superintendent of said City shall cause to be
consp6cuously posted along the line of said contemplated vorit and
improvement notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention
in the manner and form required by law. He shall also cause a
notice similar in substance to be published for a period of ten
days in said newspaper, published and circulated in said city.
SECTION 5: The herein proposed work and improvement shall
I be done in pursuance to an Act of the Legislature of the State of
California, entitled "An Act to provide for laying out, opening,
extending, widening, straightening or closing up in whole or in
part any street, square, lane, alley, court or place within
municipalities and to condemn and acquire any and all land and
property necessary or convenient for that purpose." approved
Imarch 6, 1889, and all acts amendatory thereof and supplementary
