Hello,
My name is Katherine Watson and I have been a homeowner in Anaheim Hills since 1991. Back then when I bought my home,
Anaheim Hills was a beautiful, scenic and tranquil place to live away from the hustle of the bi g city. Since then development has
exploded with single family, multifamily, mixed-use, retail, restaurants, schools etc. bringi ng floods of people, and much worse,
horrible TRAFFIC and congestion to our area. Weeknight evening traffic on Weir Canyon and Serrano where I li ve has become
a nightmare with solid lanes filled with traffic for hours.
Now with the closure of the movie theatre on the upper level of the Festival Center, developers are trying to bring i n yet another
multifamily, mixed-use project?? Seriously? Why?? Has there not been any thought gi ven to fact that we are already way over
capacity with people and cars and our infrastructure cannot handle more? With the fire hazards i n thi s area why on earth would
this even be a consideration? Our city council should be protecting the people who already li ve here and the quality of our li ves
instead of entertaining a developer's interest to build and make money.
The idea to bring 447 more apartment units to this area is beyond ludicrous. Take your development elsewhere and bri ng some
peace back to Anaheim Hills.
