I am writing to register my unequivocal objection to the Shea/Festival Center apartment project. My opposition is rooted in the serious public
safety implications and the inevitable strain on our already overtaxed community infrastructure.
Our local transportation network, particularly near the 91 Freeway, currently suffers from severe congestion. This proposed development would
drastically intensify traffic, directly impeding the crucial response times of emergency services—fire, paramedic, and law enforcement—to our
homes. Such delays in a crisis could have dire, life-threatening consequences for residents. Our existing infrastructure is simply incapable of safely
absorbing this significant increase in population density and vehicular volume.
I firmly believe this project prioritizes expansion over the fundamental safety and quality of life for current community members. I respectfully
implore the Council to reject the Shea/Festival Center apartment project, safeguarding the well-being of our neighborhood. Thank you for your
urgent consideration of this matter.
