Please vote "No" on the proposed apartments at the Anaheim Hills Festival Center.
I have lived in East Anaheim for over 40 years. In that time, the population has nearly quadrupled.
Yet we still have only the same two freeway entrances / exits to leave the area.
While Weir Canyon Road is a relative newcomer, it leads to the same busy thoroughfare — Santa Ana Canyon Road.
Santa Ana Canyon is already a bottleneck during just the normal rush hour traffic.
Please vote NO on the Festival development which will only exacerbate the current traffic issues — to say nothing of what it
will contribute to gridlock during any type of emergency in the East Anaheim area.Please consider upgrading and expanding
the current infrastructure in our area before adding hundreds of new apartments, 1,000+ more people and automobiles to our
roads.
I understand that the city needs housing, but it should NOT be built in a place where people are already struggling to get out
safely in an emergency.
As our representatives, please take seriously the safety issues this development poses and think of us, your fellow Anaheim
citizens, first.
