Members of the Anaheim City Council,
I am writing to share the attached letter regarding my opposition to the proposed 447-unit development at the Festival Shopping Center site. My
concerns center primarily the project site is located within a High Fire Hazard Severity Zone (HFHSZ) as well as evacuation and infrastructure capacity.
Additionally existing traffic congestion caused by routine 91 Freeway spillover onto surface streets
routinely creates gridlock conditions well beyond normal retail congestion.
Given the evacuation safety concerns and already significant strain on local roadways and emergency access routes, I believe approving additional high-
density housing at this location presents serious public safety and quality-of-life concerns for current residents.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter. I respectfully ask that these concerns be carefully weighed before any approval is granted.
