C a roline and B ea u became a therapy team in September 2024 a nd beg a n maki ng a n i mpa ct i n the community. B ea u’s cha rming nature is a perfect fit for Radnor Elementa ry Sc hool . C arol i ne and B ea u a ls o enjoy volunteering at the Pleas e Touch Mus eum’s Pla y Wi thout Boundari es prog ram. With Beau’s calm nature, he als o s prea ds love to many pa tients at Penns ylva ni a Hos pita l . While vis iting the hos pital, C a roline and B ea u ma de a connection with a pa tient who g rea tly mis s ed her two bea utiful g olden retrievers a nd bulldog while receiving treatment. The pati ent lit up when C a roline and B ea u came to vis it and enjoyed talking wi th C a roline whi l e g etti ng s nug g les from B ea u. After her pas s ing, the family conta cted PAWS to l et us know the profound impact C a roline and B ea u's vis its had on their mother. Their memori es of s eeing C a roline and B ea u crea ting s uch a brig ht light in their mother’s life brought them comfort with her pas s ing . Little Learners Meet Big Hearts O n February 25th, PAWS tea ms were invi ted to New Ga rden Early C a re & Education C enter to help tea ch little lea rners about pet ca re. T hei r c onference room was ma g ically tra ns formed into a veteri na ry clinic —complete with g rooming s tations , a feeding s tati on, a nd even a s urg ery center! While the children broug ht their s tuffed a ni ma l s in for examination, PAWS teams L oi s B rooks & O llie, Tom Struble & April, Fabiana Dunn & Peanut Butter, a nd R a chel Siepeling a & Nova were on ha nd to s ha re tips on ca ring for pets a nd what i t’s l i ke to vis it hos pita ls , libra ries , a nd s chools . The PAWS therapy companions were brus hed, loved, fed, a nd thoroug hly examined by very s erious veterinaria ns -in-training. Vet R eport: Shiny coats , s oft fur, full bellies … and B IG hea rts !! Two Days Until Do More 24! Do More 24 Delaware is a 24-hour Day of Giving designed to help Delaware nonprofits create new co nnections and raise funds. The campaign will be March 5 & 6 ~ 6 PM - 6 PM and is ho sted by the United Way of Delaware and Spur Impact.
