Subject:[EXTERNAL] NO on the Shea/Festival Center apartments

Anaheim City Council members,
I am urging you to vote NO to this proposed development in the AH Festival center. This is not the right time for this. The infrastructure is not in
place to accommodate this number of additional residents and cars in Anaheim Hills.
We have lived here for 33 years and have experienced fear of losing our home to more than one fire. In those instances, the traffic in and around
AH was gridlocked. Police were preventing access to certain areas with active fire, while many of us were trying to get home to another family
member and for the chance to grab important items at home. It was frightening and eye opening. The routes are very limited and nothing has
changed to improve egress from AH in the event of another fire (which will certainly happen again).
If you approve this now, without first working with CalTrans or whatever state and federal agencies that can move forward plans for the Fairmont
overpass (which was on a map as proposed when we moved here), you are showing disregard for human life.
Over the years, we have seen the traffic in AH get progressively worse and not much has been done to avoid daily congestion. With so many
drivers using navigation apps, the roads in our community have turned into a shortcut and a way to avoid tolls. In the case of a fire, this annoyance
becomes a matter of life and death.
Please do NOT approve this development at this time. We need our City Council members to represent us and what is best for the Anaheim
residents.
Again, I urge you to vote NO on the Shea/Festival Center apartments.
