A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEn.1 ACCEPTING AN OFFER FOR THE PURCHASE
OF LAND fOR PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES (Substation
East side of Pauline, North of La Palma).
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to purchase a
parcel of land on the east side of Pauline Street, north of
La Palma Avenue, for a substation site; and
WHEREAS, the owners thereof, Bertram W. Nielsen and
Inger L. Nielsen, husband and wife, have indicated their willing-
ness to sell the following described property upon terms satis-
factory to the City of Anaheim:
That portion of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast
quarter of Section 3, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown On
a map recorded in Book 51, page 10, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the westerly line of said South-
east quarter of the Southeast quarter distant N 00 18'
25" E, 115.00 feet from the southwest corner of said
Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section
3, said point being the northwesterly corner of the land
described in a deed to the Orange County Flood Control
District, recorded November 10, 1959, in Book 4967, page
199, Official Records; thence along the northerly line
of said land of the Orange County Flood Control District,
the following bearings and distances: S 890 41' 35" E,
37.84 feet; thence N 440 32' 35" E, 164.57 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave southeasterly having
a radius of 230.00 feet; thence Northeasterly along said
curve, an arc distance of 62.50 feet to a line parallel
with and distant southwesterly 70.00 feet, measured at
right angles from the northeast line of the land des-
cribed in a deed to Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad
Company, recorded in Book 299, page 395 of Deeds; thence
Northwesterly along said parallel line to its intersection
with said westerly line of the Southeast quarter of the
Southeast quarter of Section 3; thence S 00 18' 25" W
along said westerly line to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interests of the City to accept the offer of the sellers
and to purchase the property for a total sum of $80,000.00
including broker's commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it purchase the above described property
subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Review of preliminary title report furnished by
sellers.

Total purchase price $80,000.00 including broker's
commission.

3. City Attorney's Office to act as escrow, 30 days
or less.
4. Seller to pay sellers' costs, such as transfer fees,
etc.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director be,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to make the sum of
$80,000.00 available to the office of the City Attorney as call
may be made therefor to fulfill tlle terms of said escrow.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
