RESOLUTION NO. 72R- 496
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COm~CIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
AND ABANDON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING
A DATE FOR HEARING THEREON.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed under the provisions of the Public Service
Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5 of the
Government Code, in connection with a request for vacation and
abandonment of certain real property hereinafter described
subject to the removal of any existing drainage pipes and/or
concrete drainage channel, relating to said right of way, at no
cost to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to
vacate, abandon and close to public use a portion of a former
Anaheim Union Water Company right of way lying south of La Palma
Avenue, east of Kraemer Boulevard, as it may relate to the
following described property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, and State of California, to wit:
That portion of the 33 foot wide right of way for a
pipe line for conveyance of water for irrigation and
the right tope,rpetually maintain and operate said pipe
line located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, as described in decree recorded
March 7, 1916, in Book 281, page 126 of Deeds, records
of said Orange County, to be abandoned, described as:
That portion of said 33 foot wide right of way lying
within Lot 20, Block K of the Kraemer Tract, as per
map recorded in Book 12, pages 87 and 88, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, the centerline of said
strip being described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the easterly line of Lot 16,
Block K of said Kraemer Tract, said point being distant
northerly 570 feet from the southeast corner of said
lot; thence South 45-1/4 degrees West 2,975.00 feet to
an intersection with the southerly line of said Lot 20,
said point of intersection being the point of terminus
of the line herein described.
Excepting therefrom any portion thereof lying within
said Lot 16.
and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Public
Service Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5
of the Government Code, subject to the condition hereinabove
stated.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for hear-
ing of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation and abandonment has been fixed on the 14th day of
November , 1972, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber
in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in a manner prescribed by law in the
Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
