Do not click links or open attachme nts unle ss you recognize the sender and are expecting the message. Dear Mayor Aitken, Mayor Pro Tem Leon, Councilmember Balius, Councilmember Rubalcava, C ouncilmember Kurtz, Councilmember Maahs and Councilmember Meeks, On behalf of Superior Grocers, I am writing regarding the Self-Checkout Ordinance currently under consi derati on by the Anaheim City Council. Superior Grocers operates one store within the city, employing approxi mately 85 team members who serve thousands of local residents and visitors each week. A Self-Checkout Ordinance carries significant operational implications for grocery retailers and the customers who rely on us. To date, however, local grocers, including our company, have not received outreach or communicati on from the City regardi ng this potential regulation. It is critical that the Council be fully informed of the practical importance and potenti al consequences of self-checkout regulati on before taking action. Changes to well-established self-checkout practices, if made wi thout industry i nput, may i nadvertently create adverse impacts on business operations, employee workload, and the customer experience. For these reasons, we respectfully request that the City engage with the local grocer community and soli ci t stakeholder feedback prior to considering any action affecting self-checkouts. Superior Grocers values our partnership with the C i ty of Anaheim, and we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you on this issue. Thank you for your consideration, for your service to the community, and for taking the time to hear the concerns of your constituents. We are available for follow-up and would be pleased to provide additi onal information or answer any questi ons you may have. Sincerely, Mary Kasper Mary Kasper Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer Superior Grocers 15510 Carmenita Road Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670 Office: 562-345-8597 Mobile: 310-662-1332 mkasper@superiorgrocers.com Welcome to Superior Grocers - Superior Grocers
