Walter Baker 368 S.Auburn Heights Lane Anaheim, C A 92807 Subject: City Council Public Comments Dear City Council, I was chagrined to hear that, once again, another residential development is even bei ng consi dered. Not too long ago, there was a large housing development planned in Anaheim Hills, which appeared to have given li ttle consideration to vari ous impacts (fire, police, traffic, pollution, etc). Again, though smaller in size, the current development has faults that the other displayed – little consi derati on to what will li kely happen in a Fire Hazard Severity Zone. One only has to look back a few more years (~2007??) when APD came knocking on doors telling residents of a mandatory evacuation. Living next to the 91 Freeway at the time, the fire had jumped the freeway, forcing us (and all others) to forget tryi ng to enter the freeway at Weir Canyon or any road headed east. Going west to the 55 or staying on surface roads were the only options (along with ridiculous traffic either way.) We saw no police or fire personnel – nor did the crazy drivers who were i ntent on goi ng the way they wanted, when they wanted, and how they wanted (rules and safety be damned). You can’t seriously be calling for residents to “shelter in place” for three hours – seriously?? Sincerely, Walter Baker Walter Baker 368 S.Auburn Heights Lane Anaheim, CA 92807 Subject: City Council Public Comments Dear City Council, I was chagrined to hear that, once again, another residential development is even being considered.
