A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DE-
4 CLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE INSTALLATION OF ORNAMENTAL

STREET LIGHTS ON SOUTH CLAUDINA STREET, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.

6 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
7 ANAHEIM:
8 Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
g require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of
10 the City of Anaheim to order the following described work to be
11 done in sai ' d City, to -wit: that ornamental street lights shall

12 ! be installed on the Easterly side of South Claudina Street from
13 a point 135 feet Southerly from the Southerly property line of
14 East Center Street, produced Westerly, to the northerly property
I
15 line of East Santa Ana Street, produced Westerly, and on the
16 I Westerly side of South Claudina Street from the Southerly prop-

17 erty line of East Center Street, produced Easterly, to the
18 Northerly property line of East Santa Ana Street, produced East-
!
19 erly.
20 And, whereas, said contemplated work and improvement, it
21 the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is of more than local or
22 ordinary public benefit, said Board hereby makes the expenses of

23 said work and improvement chargeable upon a district within said
24 City of Anaheim, which district said Board hereby declares to be
25 the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be
26 assdssed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which said
27 district is bounded and described as follows:
28 Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 1, Block
"B ", Center Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book
29 14, page 13, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California; thence Southerly along the Westerly
30 line of said Lot 1 and said Westerly line extended to
the Northwesterly corner of Lot 38 of said Block "B ",
31 thence Easterly 155.17 feet along the Northerly line of
said Lot 38 and said Northerly line extended; thence

1 Southerly along the extended Easterly line of said Lot
38 and along said Easterly line and along the Easterly
2 line of Lots 37, 36, 35, 34, 33, 32, U., and 30 of
said Block "B" and said Easterly line extended to its

11 point 50 feet Easterly from the Easterly property line
of South Claudina Street; thence Southerly parallel
12 to said Easterly property line to the Northerly prop-
erty line of East Santa Ana Street; thence Westerly
13 along said Northerly line to a point 50 feet Westerly
from the Westerly property line of South Claudina
14 Street; thence Northerly parallel to said Westerly
property line of the Southerly propertyrline of Lot
15 18, Konig Subdivision, as shown on a map recorded in
Book 6, page 20, Miscellaneous daps, Records of Orange
16 County, California; thence Westerly along said South -
erly line to the Westerly line of said Lot 18; thence
17 Northerly along said Westerly line and along the West-
erly line of Lots 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12 11, and 10
18 of said Konig Subdivision to the Northerly line of said
Lot 10; thence sasterly along said Northerly line to a
19 point 50 feet westerly from the Westerly property line
of South Claudina Street; thence Northerly parallel. to
20 said Westerly line to the Southerly line of Ldt 22,
Block "A", Center Tract, as shown on said map of the
21 Center Tract; thence Westerly along the Southerly line
of said Ldt 22 and said Southerly line extended to its
22 intersection with the extended Westerly line of'said
Lot 22; thence Northerly along said extended Westerly
23 line and along said Westerly line and along the Wester —
ly line of Lets 21 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, and 14 of
24 said Block "A ". and said Westerly line extended to its
intersection with the extended Northerly line of said
25 Lot 14; thence Easterly along said extended Northerly
line and along said Northerly line to a point 25 feet
26 'Westerly from the Westerly property line of South
Claudina Street; thence Northerly parallel to said
27% Westerly line to the Southerly line of East Center
Street; thence Easterly along said Southerly line and
28 said Southerly line extended tote -point of beginning.
29 Excepting therefrom any land within said boundaries
30 contained which is now a part of any street or alley.
31 Said work shall be done in accordance with the plans
32 and specifications therefor, which said plans were adopted by

the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by resolution, on

the ISIt day of , 1924, and are numbered 33, and are marked
and designated "Plan of proposed ornamental light installation
on South Claudina Street, Anaheim, Calif.n, and are on file in
the office of the City Engineer of said City, and in accordance
with said specifications which were adopted by the Board of
Trustees of the City of Anaheim on the 13th day of December,
1923, and which specifications are marked and designated
"Specifications for the installation of ornamental street,
lights for the City of Anaheim," and are on file in the office
of the City Clerk.
ioAL Section 2. Notice is hereby given that on Thursday,
the Zfth day of 1924, at the hour of eight o'clock P. m.,
at the chamber of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim,
in the City Hall Building at No. 204 East Center Street, in said
City, any and all persons having objections to the proposed work
or improvement may appear before the Board of Trustees of the
City of Anaheim and show cause why said proposed work or improve-
ment should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution.
Section 3. That said Board of Trustees hereby further
determine that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assess-
ments of $25.00 or over for the cost and expense of said work and
improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a period of
nine years ffom the 2nd day of January next succeeding their
date and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof
shall be payable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year
after their date, until the whole is paid, and the interest shall
be payable semi.- annually, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January
and July, respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven per
cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said principi
and interest are paid.
Said bonds shall be issued under and by virtue of the

1 provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California

2 entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon streets, avenues
3 lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities
4 and upon property and rights of way owned by municipalities and
i
5 I for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets,
6 I avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and pro-
7 viding for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds
I
8 to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof, and pro-
9 viding a method for the payment of such bonds," approved April 7,
10 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof.

11 Section 4. The Anaheim. Daily Herald is hereby designat --
12 ed as the newspaper pr&nted, published and circulated in said
13 City, in which this resolution shall be published.
14 The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby directec
15 to publish this resolution by two successive insertions in said
16 newspaper, and to post the same for two days conspicuously on or
17 near the chamber door of the Board of Trustees of said City of

18 Anaheim.
19 The Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to be
20 conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or
21 improvement, and in front of all the property liable to be
22 assessed, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention,
23 in the manner and form required by law.
24 All the herein proposed work and improvement and all
25 proceedings taken in regard thereto shall be in pursuance of and
26 in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of
27 California entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon
28 streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks
29 within municipalities, and for establieliing and changing the grade
30 of any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and
31 sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of street
32 improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost

thereof, and providing a method for the payment of such bonds,"
approved April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof.
Section 5. Insofar as &aid work of erecting, construct-
ing andinstalling said ornamental light standards, fixtures and
equipment involves and uses patented articles or patented pro-
cesses, said work shall be done in accordance with the terms and
conditions set forth in the license agreements entered into by
the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim and the holder of
those certain United States,Letters Patent or Patents Pending
involved in said work, which agreements are marked "License Agree
ment B" and "License Agreement C++, and are on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said City of Anaheim and are hereby referred
to for further particulars.
The foregoing resolution is signed, approved and
attested by me, this 13th day of March, 1924.
