A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEI1,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE INSTALLATION OF ORNA1.11ENTAL
STREET LIGHTS ON NORTH LOS ANGELES STREET, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM

Section 1. That the public interest and convenience

require and that it
is the intention of the
Board of Trustees of

the (31TY Of Anaheim
to order the following
described work to be

done in said City,
to-wit: that ornamental
street lights shall
13 be installed on the Easterly side of North Los Angeles Street frc
14 the Northerly property line of East Cypress Street produced west-
15 erly, to the Southerly property line of East North Street produc-
16 ed ';Westerly, and on the ,1,Testerly side of North Los Angeles Street
17 from the Northerly property line of lest Cypress Street produced

Easterly, to a point 2 feet Southerly from the Southerly property
line of vest North Street produced Easterly.
And, whereas, said contemplated work and improvement,
21 in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is of more than local of
22 ordinary public benefit, said Board hereby makes the expense of
23 said work and improvement chargeable upon a district within said
24 City of Anaheim which district said Board hereby declares to be

the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be
assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which said
district is bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeasterly corner Of Lot 1, Block
"Alf, Elk Park Tract, as shorrn on a vllap recorded in Book 12, page
8, yiscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, and
running thence Southerly along the Easterly line of Lots 1 to 15
of said Block "All, and said line produced Southerly and along the
Easterly line of Lots I to 5, Block 1, of the Elliott-Anderson

Elk park Tract, as heretofore described., and along the said North
erly line to the point of beginning; excepting therefrom any
land within said boundaries contained which is now a part of
any street or alley.
Said work shall be done in accordance with the plans
and specifications therefor, which said plans were adopted by
the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by resolution, on
the 13th day of December, 1923, and are numbered 32, sheets 4 and.
5, and are makked and designated "plan of proposed ornamental
light installation on North Los Angeles Street and South Los
Angeles Street, East Center Street and , Rest Center Street, and
Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California," and are on file in the
office of the City Engineer of said City, and in accordance with
said specifications which were adopted. by the Board of Trustees

of the City of Anaheim on the 13th day of December, 1923, and

Anaheim," and are on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Section 2. Notice is hereby given that on Thursday,
the 31st day of January, 1924, at the hour of four. o'clock p.

at the chamber of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim
2 in the City Hill I)uilding at No. 204 East Center Street, in said
3 City, any and all persons having objections to the proposed. work
4 or improvement may appear before the Board of Trustees of the

City of Anaheim and show cause why said proposed work or improve-
ment should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution
Section 3. That said Board of Trustees hereby further
determine that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assess-
ments of $25.00 or over, for the cost and expense of said work
and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a perio
of nine years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding their
date and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof
shall be payable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year

after their date, until the whole is
paid,
and the
interest shall
15
be payable semi-annually, by coupon,
on the
2nd day
of Januayy
16
and. July, respectively, of eachyear,
at the
rate of
seven per
17 ;i cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said
18 principal and interest are paid.
19 JI Said bonds shall be issued under and by virtue of the

provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Calif-
ornia entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon streets,
avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places, and sidewikke within
municipalities and upon property and rights of way owned by
municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of

25 any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and
26 sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of street
27 improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost
28 thereof, and providing a method for the payment of such bonds,"
29 approved April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof.
30 Section 4. The Anaheim Daily Herald- is hereby designa-
31 ted as the newspaper printed, published and cirdulated in said
City, in which this reso14

successive
insertions
in
3 said newspaper, and to post the same for two days conspicuously
4 on or near the chamber door of the Board of Trustees of said City
5 of Anaheim.
6 The Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to
7 ij be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work
8 j or improvement, and in front of all the property liable to be
9 j assessed, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention,
10 in the manner and form required by law.
11 All the herein proposed work and improvement and all
12 proceedings taken in regard thereto shall be in pursuance of and.
13 in accordnace with an Act of the Legislature of the State of
California entitled.
14 "An Act to provide for work in and upon
1-5 streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks
16 within municipalities and. upon property and rights of way owned
17 by muAcipalities and for establishing and changing the grades
