IN G FOR THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim do resolve as
fo llows:
SECTICU 1. That the public interest and necessity demand the
construction and completion for the City of Anaheim, of the fol-
lowing municipal improvement, viz; a building for municipal uses,
containing offices for city officials, a room or chamber for the
boards and tribunals of said city, rooms for the housing and safe
keeping of prisoners of said city to be used for the purpose of
a city jails and rooms and quarters for the housing of fire apps
tus of said city and for the necessary accommodation of members
of its fire department, which said building shall be known and
designated as the "City Hall" and shall be located and construct-
ed upon that certain lot, piece, and parcel of land situate in
the City of .Anaheim, County of orange, State of California, which
is described as follows, to -wit: The Westerly twenty (Po) reet
of iot Three (3) and of Lots
'and one (/)
Two (2) Block B of the Center Tract as per map thereof record-
ed in Book 13 at Page 14 miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California.
SSECTICU 2. That those certain plans marked and designated

"City Hall Building for the city of Anaheim, Calif.," which were
prepared by Theodore Kistner and M. Eugene Durfee, architects, an
those certain specifications which are marked and designated,
"Specifications of the materials to be :tarnished, and labor re-
required for the erection and completion of a new city hall build
ing at the southeast corner of East Center St., and Claudina St,,
Anaheim, California., in accordance with the drawings prepared
by Theodore Kistner, and M. Eugene Durfee, Architects," and whict
said plans and specifications are on file in the office of the

City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, be, and they are hereby adopted
as the plans and specifications for the erection, construction and
completion of said building.
SECTICE 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and
he is hereby directed to pdblfth fo at least ten days, in the
Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, pub -
lished, and circulated, in said city, a notice inviting sealed pro
posals o bids for furnishing the labor and materials for the wor
of the construction, erection, and completion of said building,
accordance with the suia plans and specifications. Said bids
or proposals will be received by the Board of Trustees of the Ci
of Anaheim, at the office of the City Clerk of said city, up to
eight o'clock P. M. of Thursday, the llth day of Yay 1921., t*nd
the Bo ard of Trustees of the City of Anaheim reserves the right
to reject any and all bids.
SECTION 4. Each proposal: must be accompanied by cash, a bid-
der's bond or a certified check on some bank in the State of Cali-
fornia, made payable to the City of Anaheim, for an amount equal
to five per cent (5%) of the bid submitted. All bongs shall be
approved by the Board of Trustees of said City of Anaheim. Said
bond will be forfeited to the City of Anaheim, or the said cash c
certified check, as the case may be, shall become the property of
the City of Anaheim, if within ten days after the award of said
contract, the successful bidder shall fail to enter into a con-
tract for the erection and construction of said building in ac-
cordance with said plans and specifications, and furnishing the
bonds required,
SECTICU 5. A copy of said plans and specifications may be
inspected by prospective bidders at the office of M. Eugene Dar-
fee, architect, in room 5 of the Casso u Building, Anaheim, Cali-
fornia, and may be removed from said office by prospective bidder
upon depositing with said architect, the sum of �venty dears

The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Board
of Trustees of the City of Anaheim on the 17th day of April, 1922,
and is signed, approved, and attested by rye this / - 7 day of
