Resolved by the Board of `: Trustees of the City of Anaheim;
SECTION 1, That the public interest and convenience require
and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Anaheim to order the following described work to be done by
said city, to -wit:
First. That East North Street in said city from the westerly
property line of North Orange Street, produced northerly across
said East North Street, as shown on a map of Elk Park Extension,
which said map is recorded in Book 12, of Maps, at Page 34 there-
of, Records of Orange County, California, to a point two and one-
half (2j) feet westerly of the easterly property line of North 0-
live Street, produced northerly across said ER-13t North Street,
as shown on said map of said Elk Park Extension, be closed up-9
c ate d, and abandoned in part.
Second. That North Olive Street in said city, from the sou
erly property line of Fast North Street, produced Westerly across
said North Olive Street, as shown on a map of Elk Park Extension,
recorded in Book 129 at page 34 of maps, records of orange County
Calirornia, to the northerly property line of East Wilhelmina
Street, produced westerly across said North Olive Street, as show
on said map of said Elk Park Extension, be closed up, vacated and
abandoned, in part.
Third. That East Wilhelmina Street in said city, . from the

Fifth. That the whole of North Pauline Street, from the South
erly property line of East North Street, produced easterly across
said North Pauline Street, as shown on a map of Elk Park Exten-
sion, recorded in Book 12 of maps: at page 34, Records of O�range
County, California, to the northerly property line of East Wil-
helmina Street, produced westerly across said forth Pauline
Street, as shown on said map of said Elk Park Extension, be clos-
ed up, vacated, and abandoned.
Sixth. That the whole of that certain 20 -foot alley, extend-
ing northerly and southerly through Block "Ax of Elk Park Exten-
sion, as shown on a map recorded in Book 12 of maps, at Page 34,
Records of orange County, California, from the southerly proper-
ty line of East North Street, produced easterly across said al-
ley as shown on said map to the northerly property line of East
Wilhelmina Street, produced easterly across said alley as shown
on said map, be closed up, vacated, and abandoned.

Seventh. That the whole of that certain 20 -foot alley running
northerly and southerly through Block. "B" df Elk Park Extension,
as shown on a map recorded in Book 12 of maps, Records of orange
County, California, from the southerly property line of East Fort'
Street, produced easterly across said 20 -foot alley as shown on
said map to the northerly property line of East Wilhelmina Street

of said Elk Park Extension, be closed up, vacated, and abandoned.
SECTICE 2. That the several parcels of land deemed necessary
to be taken for the improvement of the several streets and alleys
herein described, are described respectively, as follows:
First, Commencing at the northeast corner of Block "C" of Elkl
Park Extension as shown on a map recorded in Book 12 at page 34
of maps, Records of orange County, California; thence northerly
at right angles with the southerly property line of East Forth
Street, two and one -half (21) feet; thence westerly, parallel wit
the southerly property line of East North Street, according to
said map of said Elk Park Extension, to a point two and one -hall'
(2j) feet west of the easterly property line of North alive Stree
produced northerly across said East North Street; thence souther-
ly at right angles two and one -half (2 feet to the so uthe rly

exterior boundaries of the district of lands which said Board of
Trustees does hereby determine and declare to be affected and ben
fited by said work and improvement, and to be assessed to pay the
damages, costs, and expenses thereof, as follows, to -'Wit:
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Vineyard Lot "A2" of
the Town of Anaheim, as shown on a map recorded in Book 4 of Deeds;
at pages 629 and 630, Records of Los Angeles County, California,
running thence easterly along the northerly line of said Vineyard
Lot "A2 ", Eleven hundred twenty -six and fifty -five one - hundredths
(1126.55) feet to the easterly line of said Viziayard lot "A2
thence southerly along the easterly line of said Vineyard Lot Ir b2"
seven hundred ninety -two and rive tenths (792.8) fec 4 to the south
erly line of said Vineyard Lot 11 A2 11 ; thence westerly along said
southerly line eleven hundred twenty -six and seventy -five one-hun-
dredths (1126.75) feet to the westerly line of said Vineyard lot

ninety -three and two tenths (793,2) feet to the point of beginnin ,
excepting therefrom the land hereinbefo re described as the land
to be taken for said work, and also excepting any land within sai
boundaries contained which is now a part of any street or alley.
SECTION 4. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in
pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California
entitled, "An act to provide for laying out, opening, extending,
widening, straightening, or closing up, in whale or in part any
street, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities
and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property neces

or convenient for that purpose," approved March 6th, 1889, and all
acts amendatory thereof or aupplementary thereto.
SECTION 5, The Street Superintendent of the City of Anaheim
shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said con-
templated work or improvement, notices of the passage of this res-`
olution of intention in the manner and form required by law, and
he shall likewise cause a notice similar in substance to be pub-
fished for the time and in the form and manner required by law.
The 1 a daily newspaper of genera],
circulation printed, published, and circulated in said City of
Anaheim, is hereby designated as the newspaper, published and cir-
culated in said city in which the Street Superintendent's notice
of the passage of this resolution shall be published.
The foregoing resolution of intention No. 14`7 is signed, appro -
ed and attested by me this /7th day of February, 1922.

SECTION 1. That heretofore, and on the 12th day of Janu-
ary, 1922 the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, . by reso-
lution, ad.opt specifications for the drilling of a water well
for the city of Anaheim, which said specifications, are marked
and designated Specifications for water well for the City Of
Anaheim", and
"Therea s thereafter, said Board of Trustees did cause to be
published in the inaheim Gazette, a notice calling for sealed
proposals or bids for the furnishing of all labor and materials
for the jrilling and completing of said water well, and
ghereas thereafter, and on the 9th day of February, 1922,
sealed bids and proposals were received by the Board of Trustees
of the City of Anaheim, for the doing of s"id work, in accord-
ance with said specifications, and
Vhereas the awarding of said contract was, by resolution
of said Board Of Trustees, continued until the 11th day of Feb-
ruary, 1922, at tlfle hour o f 7:30 P. 1 , and
Whereas on said 1 day of February, 1942, said Board of
ustees, by resolution, rejected all bids and for the
doing of said work*
SECTION 2. NOW, T112]REFOREP the Board of Trustees of the
City of Anaheim does declare and determine that in its I opinion
the furnishing of all Of of the work and materials necessary in
drilling and completing said water well can be done and had more
economically► and at a lower price, in the open market, and that
it is hereby ordered and resolved that the said materials shall
be purchased, and the said work done, in the open market as pro-
vided by law.
