A resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim
declaring its intention to order the paving of certain portions of
the roadway of East Wayrtres Street, in said City, from the westerly
property line of North Olive Street,produced northerly across the
roadway of said West Chartres Street, to the easterly property
line of North los Angeles Street, produced northerly across said
East Chartres Street and certain portions of the roadway of West
Chartres Street, from the westerly property line of North los
Angeles Street to the easterly property line of North Palm Street,
in said city,
RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim:
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require
and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Anaheim to order the following street work to be done in said
[city, to-wit-.
First: That the roadway of East Chartres Street from the
Westerly property line of North Olive Street, produced northerly
across the roadway of East Chartres Street to the Easterly property
line of Borth los Angeles Street, produced northerly across said
East Chartres Street (excepting therefrom that portion of the road-
way of said East Chartres Street lying between the easterly and
westerly property lines of North Philadelphia Street, produced
northerly across said East Chartres Street; also excepting there-
from the Northerly one-half of the roadway of said East Chartres
Street, lying between the westerly property line of North Phila-
delphia Street, produced southerly to the center line of the road-
way of said last Chartres Street, and the easterly property line

of North Emily Street, - ,produced Southerly to the center line of
the roadway of said East Chartres Street; also el-r-cepting therefrom
that portion of the roadway of said.3ast Chartres Street lying be-
tween the easterly and westerly property lines of North Emily
Street, produced Northerly across the roadway of said T1 1 ast Char-
tree Street; also excepting therefrom that portion of the roadway

cial grade and paved with hydraulic concrete base and with asphalti4
wearing surface.
Second& That the roadway of 'west Chartres Street, between
the westerly property line of Porth Los Angeles Street, produced
northerly across the roadway of said "West Chartres Street and the

Said work shall be done in accordance with the Mans, pro-
files, and specifications 'therefor, which said plans and profiles
were adopted by the Board of jVustees of the City of Anaheim, by

resolution on the 28th day of July, .41'..D. 1921, are numbered 11 13"
2 and are marked and designated, "Plan of proposed improvement on
3 Chartres Street, Anaheim, Galifi prepared by 0. E. Stewart, city
4 engineer," and are on file in - the office of the City Engineer of
5 ! said City, and which said sp ecif icat ions were adopted by the Board
6 of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by resolution, on the 28th day
7 of July, 1921, and which said specifications are marked and desig-
8 nated "Specifications Eb. 26 for the Construction of Street paving
9 with hydraulic concrete base and asphaltic wearing surface in the
10 !City of Anaheim, California," which said specifications are on file
11 in the office of the City Clerl'. of the City of 13,naheim.
12 Section 2. Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, the
13 10th day of November, 1921, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. at the
14 chamber of the Board of 'Trustees of the City of Anaheim at Room 1
15 in the Masonic 2emple 3uild.ing at No. TD_.21ast Center Street, in
16 said City, any and all persons having objections to 'the proposed
17 work or improvement may appear before the Board of 11°astees of the
18 City of 1. and show cause why said proposed work and improve-
19 ment should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution.
20 Section 3. That said Board of 1 hereby further de-
21 termines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assessments
22 of $26*00 or over, for the cost and expense of said work and im-
23 1- -)rovement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a period of

`nine years from the second day of January next succeeding

25 date and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof
26 shall be payable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year
27 after their date, until the whole is paid, and the interest shall
28 be payable semi-annually, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January and
29 July respectively of each year at the rate of seven - ,)er cent per
30 mum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and
31 interest are paid.

Said bonds shall be issued under and by virtue of the pro-
visions of an Act of the legislature of the State of California
entitled,"An Act to provide for York in and upon streets, avenues,
'lanes, alleysi courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities
and upon property and rights of way owned by municipalities and
for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets,
n�::,venues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and pro-
viding for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds
to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof and pro-
viding a method for the p4yment of such bonds." iLpproved 1;pril
7, 1911, and all acts amendatory Thereof.
Section 4. The Anaheim Wily Herald is hereby designated
as ths newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City
in which this Resolution of Intention shall be published.
The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to
publish this resolution by two successive insertions in said news-
paper, and to post the same for two days conspienously on or near
the chamber door of the 3oard of Trustees of said Ci of anaheim,
