A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
SURPLUS CITY REAL PROPERTY TO FREEWAY COMMER-
CIAL PROPERTIES, INC. (Between Katella Way
and Katella Avenue, West of Manchester)
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California released certain property to the City of Anaheim after
the completion of the Santa Ana Freeway and the Katella Avenue
overpass; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a portion of said
property, hereinafter described is surplus to and not needed
for any public purpose by the City; and
WHEREAS, the only contiguous property owner has offered
to purchase said portion of City property from the City for a
consideration which the City Council finds to be fair and reason-
able; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to
sell said property and have its value returned to the tax rolls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it authorize and it does hereby authorize
the sale of the following described property to Freeway Commercial
Properties, Inc. for the sum of $10,000.00:
That portion of the Southwest quarter of the Southwest
quarter of Section 23, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B. & M., described as:
Beginning at the easterly terminus of the northerly line
of that certain parcel of land bounded completely on all
sides by Parcel 1 of State Highway Relinquishment No.
525, as shown on the map filed in Book 4, pages 3 and 4
of Highway Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County, said northerly line shown as having a bear-
ing and distance of S 810 II' 30" W, 358.12 feet; thence
along said northerly line and the various courses in the
boundary of said land S 810 11' 30" W, 358.12 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave to the southeast
having a radius of 55 feet; thence Southwesterly and
Southerly along said curve through a central angle of 810
13' 45" an arc distance of 77.97 feet; thence tangent to
said curve S 00 02' 15" E, 14.38 feet to the beginning
of a non-tangent curve concave to the northeast having a
radius of 100 feet, a radial line through said beginning
of curve bears N 290 57' 45" E; thence Southeasterly and
Easterly along said curve through a central angle of 300
00' 30" an arc distance of 52.37 feet to the westerly
terminus of the southerly line of said parcel of land
having a bearing and distance of N 890 57' 45" E, 407.68
feet; thence Westerly and Northwesterly leaving the bound-
ary of said parcel of land, along a curve tangent to said
southerly line and concave to the northeast having a
radius of 165 feet through a central angle of 180 30' 00"
an arc distance of 53.28 feet to a point of compound curve,
a radial line through said point bears S 180 27' 15" W;

thence Northwesterly, Northerly and Northeasterly along
said compound curve having a radius of 36 feet through a
central angle of 1300 02' 45" an arc distance of 81.71
feet, a radial line through the end of said curve bears
N 310 30' DO" W; thence tangent to said curve N 580 30'
DO" E, 57.00 feet; thence N 810 58' 20" E, 287.03 feet to
the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the north-
west having a radius of 41 feet; thence Northeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 870 38'
15" an arc distance of 62.71 feet, a radial line through
the end of said curve bears N 840 20' 05" E; thence
along a non-tangent line S 390 46' 46" E, 66.19 feet to
the point of beginning.
Reserving therefrom an easement for drainage purposes
over, under and across a strip of land 10 feet wide,
the centerline of which is described as follows:
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of the above des-
cribed parcel of land; thence S 580 30' DO" W, 16.57 feet
to the true point of beginning; thence Southeasterly a
distance of 12.5 feet to the point of terminus of the land
herein described.
Also reserving therefrom all vehicular access rights
along the westerly boundary of said parcel commencing at
a point S 580 3D' 3D" W, 57 feet from the northwest corner
of the parcel above described, said point of beginning
being a point of beginning of a tangent curve concave
easterly and having a radius of 36 feet; thence South-
westerly, Southerly and Southeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 1300 02' 45" an arc distance of
81.71 feet to the beginning of a curve concave northeast-
erly and having a radius of 165 feet, a radial line bear-
ing S 180 27' 15" W passes through said point; thence
Southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of
180 30' 00" an arc distance of 53.28 feet to an intersec-
tion with a line parallel with and 30 feet northerly of
the centerline of Katella Avenue, said point of intersec-
tion being the point of terminus of the westerly boundary
from which said vehicular access rights are to be reserved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized and directe~ to execute a
grant deed to the above described City-owned property in favor
of Freeway Commercial Properties, Inc. and to deliver the same
to the Right of Way Section of the Engineering Division for
transmittal upon receipt of said $10,000.00.
