RESOLVED: (1} That those certain plain and profiles marked
and designated "'~~~ I B Plana for Paving Street In-
tersections oa South Lemon Street, Anaheim, California,tt prepared
by 0. E. steward, City Engineer of .said City, be ~d they are here-
by adopted as the plans and profiles for .the work of paving those
certain portions of South Zemon Street which are hereinad'tsr des-
ignated and that said plane and profiles shall be end remain on
file in the office of the City Engineer of said City.
(2} That those certain Specifications which were adopted by
the Board of Trustees of the City of 9nahem, by resolution on the
loth day of ~.~ril, 1913, and which said specifications are marked
and designated."Specifications No. 5, for the construction of
street paving ;with hydraulic-cement and broken stone, or screened
gravel and asphalt wearing surface in the City of ~:aheim, Calif-
ornia," aril are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the Ct
of .Anaheim, in the City Hall ~f said City,, be and they are hereby
adopted as th® Speci3~ications for doing said work,
(3} That those portions of South lemon Street herein proposed
to be paved are described as follows: That portion of the road-
way of South yemon Street, lying between the Northerly and South-
erly property lines of Oak Street, produced Easterly to the cant
line of South Zemon Street; that portion of the roadway of South
lemon Street, lying between the Northerly and, Southerly property.,
lines of. Chesta~ut Street produced Westerly to the center line of
South lemon Street; that portion of the roadway of South lemon
Strest, lying bettyeen the Northerly and Southerly property lines
Chestnut Street, produced Easterly to the center line of South
lemon Street; that portion of the roadway of South Lemon Strest
lying between the Northerly and Southerly property lines of Third
South Street, produced Easterly to the center line of South Lemon

Southerly ling of that strip of land conveyed to the City of Ana-

heim for street p~crposes by Conrad Stueckle, by deed dated the
18th day of December, 1912 and reco riled in Book 223 at page 345 of
Deeds, Records of Orange County, Cal.ifo ruin, pro duced Westerly to
the center line of South Demon Street; that portion of the roadw
of South Daman Street, lying between the Northerly and Southerly
23 property line#~ of Stueckle Avenue, produced Westerly to the cents
24 line of South Zemon Street; that portion of the rv~dway of South
25 Lemon Street, .lying between the northerly and southerly property
26 lines of We$t South Street, produced easterly acro~$ the roadway
27 of South Lemon Street.

{4} What the City Clerk of the City of Anah®imE be and he is

hereby instructed to advertise forlbids for the doing of the work

of paving said portions of South lemon Street, in accordance ~~rith
31 such plans and specifications, said bids shall be received at the
32 office of the City Clerk of said City in the City Hall of s aid

1914, and the advertisement shall so state.
All propo sale ar bids offered must be~ accompanied by a check
payable to th® City of Anaheim, certified by a re~gonsible bank fa r
an amount which shall not be less than tit per cent of the aggro-
gate amount of the proposal, or by a bond for the said amount, so 'I
payable, signed by the bidder and two su~ceties who shall justify
before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double the
said amount,. over and above all statutory exemptions.
Said certified check, or bond to beeom+e the property of the City
of Anaheim if within ten days after the acceptance of his bid the
successful bidder shall fail to execute a contract for the perform
ante of said work, and furnish the bonds required.
The cont~et must be accompanied by a bond, executed by at least
two goad and sufficient sureties to be approved by, the Board of '
Trustees of said City, who shall justify before an officer, eompe-
tent to administer an oath, in double the aanount of .such bond,
which shall be donditioned upon the faithful performance of said i
cone ract. Said contract shall be accompanied by another and addi-~
tional bond in like amount and executed in like manner by two good
and sufficient sureties to be approved by said Board of Trustees
of said City and who shall justify in like amount before an offic®
authorized to administer an oath, which said bond .shall be Bondi-
boned upon the payment of labor and material used. upon sa~.d work
in the manner and form provided by an act of the Ze~islature of
the State of California, entitled, "An 9.et to secure the payment
of the clai~t of materialmen, mechanics or laborers employed by
cunt radars upon State, Municipal or other public wark" approved
Larch 27th, 189'.
The Board of Trustees of said City reserves the right to reject
any and all bids.
The foregoing resolution is signed, approved and attested by me~
