Approval of this project is a major dis appointment for Anaheim Hills residents . Having lived through four evacuations in the Hills and another near mis s that
unfortunately turned on Yorba Linda, I have pers onally s een the wind force and devas tation created by brus h fires . Uncontrollable winds at 75 mph, flames moving at
9 miles per minute, traffic conges tion toward very, very limited egres s points are and will continue to be the main is s ue. They were the main is s ue that defeated the
Deer Canyon project but were bas ically ignored in this one - both projects are 1/2 mile apart, s o why. Why won’t ins urance companies ins ure properties here - they
s eem to know why but s mall thinking Council members from dis tricts 1-4 don’t. They choos e revenue, profit, equality over s afety. Given the wrong conditions , the
Hills are a potential fire trap that may be mitigated by planning and organization, or maybe they won’t. Try explaining the plan to a 75mph wind. Good luck to us ,
we’re going to need it.
