W e are very concerned over the 4-3 vote to confirm building the subject apartments.
My husband and I have been residents at the above location for 31 years and have raised 3 children at this loc ation.
W e have lived through 3 wildfires (2 of which we were evacuated). And I can say the experience of the evac uation was not a pleasant
one due to the limited routes to get in and out of the area.
W ithin the last 2-3 years, I can say that the traffic (especially on Thursday and Friday evenings) is horrific. I believe this is due to the
apps that people use to reroute out of the heavy traffic on the 91 freeway. My specific neighborhood has been bac ked up so bad that
getting out or back into my neighborhood has been intolerable. W hen trying to exit either off Oak Canyon (where the Serrano traffic
backs up on W eir Canyon) or off Riverview to get onto Santa Ana Canyon to W eir is atrocious . People coming down Santa Ana to get
on the 91 always block the ongoing traffic proceeding onto Santa Ana by ignoring the red lights and just keep c oming through.
I am sure our concerns have already been put out in these meeting and it is beyond com prehension that anyone in their right mind could
vote for this project. I would expect those who voted for it do not live in this area and will not be impacted.
I can only imagine what the traffic will be like once these apartments have been built adding thous ands more people. There are already
plenty of apartments, condominiums in this area already and there is certainly no reason to build m ore. The impac t alone of the
additional people, vehicles, etc. will certainly destroy the peacefulness of this area (of which has already been enc roached upon due to
the redirection of traffic).
W e will be attending the second meeting on 3.24.
