Do not click links or open attachme nts unle ss you recognize the sender and are expecting the message. Most cities in OC allow 5-6 backyard chickens, but Anaheim allows one bird per 1,800 square feet, with 50 foot s etbac ks. That makes it impossible for Anaheim residents to raise chickens for eggs. Buena Park changed its chicken ordinance to 6 hens and 10 foot setbacks in 2024 with a lot of effort and enthusias m from the mayor and city council. La Mirada made less restrictive changes in 2025. Fullerton and Brea don't lim it hens, and cities like Cypress, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Yorba Linda, HB, Garden Grove, etc. have much more reasonable chic ken ordinances than Anaheim. Please consider revising the code with a chicken ordinance on behalf of its residents that is much m ore reas onable and in line with that of other cities in SoCal.
