RESOLUTION NO. 73R- 120
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
AND ABANDON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING
A DATE FOR HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed under the provisions of the Public Service
Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5 of the
Government Code in connection with a request for vacation and
abandonment of a portion of an existing public utility easement
located East of Brookhurst Street and North of Crescent Avenue,
in the City of Anaheim, more fully hereinafter described, and
subject to the condition that applicant will bear the cost of
any removal, relocation, or revision to existing City utilities
and Pacific Telephone Company facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to
vacate, abandon and close to public use that portion of a public
utility easement located East of Brookhurst, North of Crescent
Avenue, as it may relate to the following described property:
That portion of an unrecorded easement located in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, conveyed to Southern California Edison
Company and assigned to the City of Anaheim lying
within a portion of the North 25 acres of the
Southwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 8,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., being
a strip of land 10 feet in width lying parallel with
and five feet on each side of the following described
line:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of parcel 8 shown
on a parcel map recorded in book 44, page 15, records
of Orange County, California; thence N 00 431 36" W,
329.28 feet along the centerline of Brookhurst Street
60.00 feet wide to the true point of beginning of the
line herein described; thence N 890 37' 54" E, 404.86
feet to the point terminus of said line.
Excepting therefrom the Westerly 226.00 feet tllereof.
and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Public
Service Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5
of the Government Code, subject to the above mentioned con-
dition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation and abandonment has been fixed on the 17th day of
April , 1973, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in a manner prescribed by law in the
Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
