Subject:[EXTERNAL] Please vote NO on the Shea/Festival Center apartments – It's a safe ty issue

Dear Council Member,
I am writing to you as a resident of Anaheim to ask you to please vote "No" on the proposed apartments at the Anaheim Hills Festival Center. I
have lived here for 35 years and have experienced the fear of being stuck in traffic with the presence of a fire burning nearby. That, however, isn't
my biggest beef with the traffic. My problem is getting home after work when the traffic on the 91 is at a standstill. I can't get home as i can't even
get into my tract. You see a street in my track, Larkwood runs parallel to Weir Canyon so when traffic backs up on Weir, commuters use the next
best street..Larkwood. My community has expressed our concern and even worked with the City to ease the traffic. You are not allowed to turn
right onto Santa Ana Canyon between 2pm and 7pm out of my tract. With no enforcement commuters ignore the traffic law. By adding this
complex and ignoring updating the infrastructure, my commute is going to get worse. Guess I'll have to park in the shopping center nearby, walk
home and walk back to get my car when traffic dies down.
Please vote NO on this development until the City has addressed the infrastructure issues.
I understand that the city needs housing, but it shouldn't be built in a place where people are already struggling to get out and home. Please don't
make an existing danger and daily commute issue even worse just for a new development. I am asking you to prioritize the lives and safety of the
people who already live here and pay taxes here.
Sincerely,
Glenda Babbitt
