A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHED1 GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PEID1IT
NO. 1052.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did grant an application for a conditional use permit
for Milton E. Johnson, owner, pursuant to Resolution PC-68-224,
to establish an automobile impound yard on M-l zoned property
at the following location:
A portion of Lot Thirty-two of Anaheim Extension as
shown on a Map of Survey made by William Hamel and filed
for record in the office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California, more particularly desc~ibed
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the East line of Walnut
Street with the Southerly line of Santa Ana Street as
said streets are shown on said map; thence Northeasterly
83.01 feet along the Northerly line of said Lot 32 to the
intersection with the Southwesterly line of Manchester
Boulevard, formerly the 100 foot right of way of the
Southern Pacific Railway; thence Southeasterly along said
Boulevard 432.44 feet to a point; thence Southwesterly
376.16 feet on a line parallel with the Northerly line of
Lot 32 to a point in the West line of said Lot which is
404.99 feet South of the point of beginning; thence North
along the West line of said Lot 32 to the point of begin-
ning;
EXCEPTING therefrom the West 6.25 feet as conveyed to the
City of Anaheim, for the purpose of widening the East half
of Walnut Street, by deed recorded February 1, 1910, in
Book 177, page 35 of Deeds;
ALSO EXCEPT that portion thereof lying Northerly of a line
parallel with and distant 34.75 feet Southerly from the
monumented center line of West Santa Ana Street conveyed
to the City of Anaheim, a municipal corporation, for the
widening of West Santa Ana Street, by Deed recorded April
14, 1939, in Book 988, page 483 of Official Records.
AND WHEREAS ,the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said
Conditional Use Permit on October 11, 1973, notices of which said
public hearing were duly given as required by law and the provi-
sions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code;
and

WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, inves-
tigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after
due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said
hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. PC-73-2l9 amending Condi-
tional Use Permit No. 1052 as to original uses under PC-68-229,
and changing conditions pursuant to Resolution No. PC-73-2l9; and
WHEREAS, thereafter within twenty-two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal

was filed with the City Council protesting the action of the
City Planning Commission in amending said Conditional Use Permit
and said appeal was set for public hearing on November 27, 1973,
at the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and notices of such
public hearing were duly given as required by law and the pro-
visions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anahiem Municipal Code;
and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful consider-
ation of the recommendations of the City Planning Commission and
all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, that;
1. The proposed use is properly one for which a
conditional use permit is authorized by the
Anaheim Municipal Code.
2. The proposed use will not adversely affect the
adjoining land uses and the growth and develop-
ment of the area in which it is proposed to be
located.
3. The size and shape of the site proposed for the
use is adequate to allow the full development of
the proposed use in a manner not detrimental to
the particular area nor to the peace, health,
safety and general welfare.
4. The traffic generated by the proposed use will
not impose an undue burden upon the streets and
highways designed and improved to carry the
traffic in the area.
s. The granting of the conditional use permit under
the conditions imposed will not be detrimental
to the peace, health, safety and general welfare
of the citizens of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission
in amending said Conditional Use Permit be, and the same is hereby
sustained in part, and that Conditional Use Permit No. 1052 be,
and the same is hereby granted, subject to review in one year,
permitting an automobile impound yard on the aforedescribed pro-
perty with a waiver of the following section of the Anaheim Muni-
cipal Code:
SECTION l8.52.060(3-b)
Required enclosure of outdoor
uses (6-foot masonry wall
required; chain link fence
proposed).

That said Conditional Use Permit be granted subject to the follow-
ing conditions:
"'-
1. All conditions imposed pursuant to Planning
Commission Resolution PC-68-269.
2. That the existing redwood fence shall be extended
along the west side of Manchester Avenue for the southerly 236
feet to the south property line adjacent to the existing seven-
foot masonry wall; and that the existing chain link fence located
parallel to, and 40 feet inside the chain link fence on the
Walnut Street frontage, shall be screened with bamboo material.
3. That there shall be no stacking of vehicles above
the six-foot height of the wall as stipulated to by the petitioner.
4. That landscaping shall be provided in conformance
with the site development standards of the M-l Zone.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such Conditional Use Permit for good cause or failure of said
owner, his heirs, successors or assigns, to comply with the
Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations and the conditions herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 27th day of November, 1973.
