A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TER-
RITORY TO THE CITY OF ANNIEIM, DESIGNATING THE
"TERRITORY AS THE EAST LA PALMA NO.2
ANNEXATION
DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE
DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY PERSON
OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE
CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY
SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
on the 25th day of October , 19-13-, receive a written
petition asking that certain new territory described in said
petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, prior to the circulation or filing of said
petition, notice of intention to annex said territory, contain-
ing the specific boundaries of the territory to be annexed, was
filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission; and
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission has
rendered its decision, as provided in Section 54797 of the
Government Code, approving said annexation; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is
uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and
reports received that at the time of the filing and receipt of
said petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less
than one-fourth (1/4) of the land in the territory by area and
by assessed value in the territory proposed to be annexed,
according to the last preceding equalized county assessment
roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and
reports received and from said petition that at the time of
the filing and presentation of said petition that said new
territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did.
not form a part of any municipal corporation and that said
territory was uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of
Anaheim; and .

WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition
and evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the
territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim
are as follows, to wit:

That parcel of land located in the County of Oranqe,
State of California, a portion of which lies within
Lot 4 of Tract No. 925, as shown on a map recorded
in Book 29, pages 42, 43 and 44, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County, described as follows:

Beginning at a point in the existing City limit line
of the City of Anaheim, said point being the north-
west corner of the East La Palma Annexation to said
City, certified by the Secretary of State August 14,
1972, said northwest corner being a point in a curve
in the northerly right of way line of La Palma Avenue
concave northwesterly and having a radius of 1,947
feet, a radial line bearing S 80 56' 09" E passes
through said point at an intersection with the south-
erly prolongation of the westerly line of the land
described in the deed recorded April 10, 1967 in
Book 8220, page 619, Official Records of said Oranqe
County; thence N 10 23' 00" E, 1,415 feet, more or""
less, leaving said existing City of Anaheim City
limit line and following along said prolongation and
said westerly line and northerly prolongation thereof
to an intersection with the northerly right of way
line of Orangethorpe Avenue, 50 feet wide, said point
of intersection being a point in the existing City
limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by
the Yorba Annexation to the City of Anaheim, certi--
fied by the Secretary of State August 10, 1964,
thence S 780 18' 00" E, 430.43 feet following along a
portion of said Yorba Annexation boundary being a por--
tion of the northerly right of way line of said
Orangethorpe Avenue to an intersection wi"th the nor--
therly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 4 in
said Tract No. 925, said point of intersection being
a point in the westerly annexation boundary estab-
lished by the Orangethorpe-La Palma Annexation certi"'
fied by the Secretary of State August 24, 1970; thence
S 0015' 4011 E, 1,228 feet, more or less, leaving said
Yorba Annexation boundary and following along a por'-
tion of the said westerly annexation boundary, also
being a portion of said northerly prolongation and
easterly line of Lot 4 in said Tract 925 to an inter-
section with the northerly right of way line of La
Palma Avenue, said point of intersection being a point
in a curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of
2053 feet, a radial line bearing N go 28' SOH W passes
through said point, said point also being a point in
the existing City limit line of the City of Anaheinl, as
established by the aforementioned East La Palma Annexa~
tion; thence Southwesterly leaving said Orangethorpe-La
Palma Annexation boundary line and following along a
portion of the said East La Palma Annexation boundary
line along said curve through a central angle of 60 59'
12" an arc distance of 250.36 feet to the beginning of
a reverse curve concave northwesterly and having a
radius of 1947 feet, a radial line bearing S 150 28' 02"
E passes through said beginning of reverse curve; thence
Southwesterly along said reverse curve through a central
angle of 60 31' 53" an arc distance of 221.97 feet to
the point of beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that such proposed annexation be designated
as EAST LA PALMA NO. 2 ANNEXATION
and that notice of such proposed annexation be hereby given as
hereinafter provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be
had upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this resolution, unless the
owner or owners of all of the territory to be annexed have peti-
tioned for annexation or filed their consents to such annexation,
in writing, with the City Council in which event the hearing
shall be set at any time after compliance with Section 35311 of
the Government Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does find
that the owner or owners of all of the territory proposed to be
annexed have not petitioned for annexation or filed their
consents to such annexation, in writing, with the City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 18th day of December
19---1.1., at the hour of 1:30 o'clock P. M., at the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and
the same is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place when and
where the City Council will hear protests made by any owner or
owners of real property within the territory proposed to be
annexed; and that at any time before the closing of said hearing
on protests, any owner of property within said territory may file
with the City Clerk a written protest against the annexation.
Said protest shall be in writing and shall state the name of the
owner of the property affected and the description and area of
the property in general terms.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this reso-
lution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than
once a week, in a newspaper of general circulation, published in
the City, to wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange
County, California, and also in a newspaper of general circula-
tion, published outside of the City, but in the County of Orange,
in which is located the territory hereinabove proposed to be
annexed to the City of Anaheim, to wit: The Daily News
Tribune and that such publication shall be completed
at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of hearing herein-
above specified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event that land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of
__ Anaheim shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexa-
tion to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County.
The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty (20)
days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
