Good evening council,
Las t month this council s howed s upport for communities that are under attack from violent s tate actors . In this area as we know this group is largely made up of
chicanos and immigrants . Thes e s ame communities continue to be under attack by not only ICE which this council happily came out agains t, but als o s tate forces
s uch as police who continue to murder chicanos without jus t caus e in the streets. We know it is wrong when ICE thugs come to tear families apart s o why don’t we
realize how wrong it is for police to kill members of our communities and face no consequences . If this council cares about protecting the communities in Anaheim
then it will als o take action to materially s upport the family of Albert Arzola who was unjus tly murdered by Anaheim PD. We demand the releas e of the officer names
as well as the autops y of Albert which has been withheld. His family des erves jus tice and this community des erves change and to feel s afe in their own
neighborhoods , not only from ICE but als o from Police.
