For public comment on April 07, 2026: City Council, Disney invites us to “Wish Upon a Star,” but this is about a chemical rain over Anaheim. The same chemicals are used to launch the Rocket to the moon and ICBMs. Residents have already filed complaints with the AQMD about the fireworks. And yet —time and time again— this issue has been dismissed, minimized, or ignored. At the last meeting, concerns about water quality were quickly denied by this Council, without evidence, without data, and without investigation. That is exactly the problem. This is a public health issue:  Perchlorate Problem: It is called "The Thyroid Assassin." It interferes with thyroid function.  In the air we breathe, the soil, the water we drink and wash with  Plus long-term cumulative exposure  And we've paid $12 million to clean it up so far. Right now:  AQMD looks at air  Water Boards look at groundwater But no one is connecting the dots. You are responsible for protecting this community. That means you have a duty—not an option— the fireworks impact our water, our air, and our health. Health implications impact you, your family, neighbors, and everyone else under the fallout and beyond. 1
