A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING A DATE FOR
HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
has elected to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941 in connection with a request for vacation
and abandonment of a portion of Cerritos Avenue, east of State
College Boulevard, at Sunkist Street, more fully hereinafter
described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention
to vacate, abandon and close to public use that portion of
Cerritos Avenue, east of State College Boulevard, at Sunkist
Street, as it may relate to the following described property:
That portion of dedicated roadway commonly known as
Cerritos Avenue, located in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, to be abandoned, lying
within a portion of Section 24, being a portion of Lot
41 of Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho
San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as per map recorded in
Book 2, pages 256 and 257 of Patents, Records of Los
Angeles County, California, described as follows:
Parcel One: The southerly 20 feet of the following
described parcel of land: Beginning at the intersection
of the centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right
of way and the westerly line of the Rancho Santaigo de
Santa Ana in said Section 24; thence along said Rancho
line S 29° 00' W, 246.18 feet; thence W, 597.56 feet;
thence North to the centerline of the Southern Pacific
Railroad right of way; thence Easterly along the center-
line of said right of way to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the portion included in the right of
way of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
Parcel Two: The northerly 20 feet of the following des-
cribed parcel of land: Beginning at the intersection of
the east and west quarter section line of said Fractional
Section 24, and the westerly line of Rancho Santiago de
Santa Ana; thence along said Rancho line S 29° 00' W,
804.42 feet to Station 68 of said Rancho line; thence con-
tinuing along same S 33° 00' W, 732.53 feet to a point;
thence N 89° 44' W, 430.67 feet to a pipe; thence N 30°
52' E, 1535.3 feet to a pipe in said quarter section
line; thence along said quarter section line S 89° 44'
E, 432.05 feet to the point of beginning.
and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation and abandonment has been fixed on the 7th day of
May 1974, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in a manner prescribed by law in the Anaheim
Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and sig -d by me
