A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING A DATE FOR
HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed under the provisions of the Public Service
Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5 of the
Government Code, in connection with a request for vacation and
abandonment of a former Anaheim Union Water Company easement
located east of West Street, south of Romneya Drive, in the
City of Anaheim, and more fully hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to
vacate, abandon and close to public use a portion of a former
Anaheim Union Water Company easement located east of West Street,
south of Romneya Drive, in the City of Anaheim, for utility pur-
poses, as it may relate to the following described property:
That portion of the former Anaheim Union Water Company
right of way 16.5 feet wide located in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, lying
within a portion of Lots 9 and 10 of Miles Rancho as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4, page 7, Miscellane-
ous Maps, records of said Orange County, as said right
of way is described in deed recorded April 1, 1931 in
Book 474, page 22, Official Records, and April 7, 1897
in Book 25, page 289, of Deeds, to be abandoned, de-
scribed as follows:
PARCEL ONE: A right of way to construct, operate, etc.,
a concrete property line a distance of approximately 98
feet diagonally across the northwest corner of the West
half of the East half of Lot 10, Miles Rancho map re-
corded in Book 4, page 7, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
said Orange County, located more particularly described
as being on the right of way granted by Charles S. Miles
and Annie R. Miles, his wife, to 2nd party, dated April 7,
1897, recorded in Book 25, page 269 of Deeds.
PARCEL TWO: A strip of land 162 feet wide, 84 feet on
each side of the following described line: Commencing
976 feet north and 241 feet east of the southeast corner
of the Southwest quarter of Section 4, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, S.B.B. M.; thence S 66 15' W, 1676 feet;
thence S 89 30' W, 1314 feet to intersection with the
east line of section road between Sections 4 and 5, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M., at a point 278
feet north of the south line of said Section 4, being
centerline of South branch cement ditch of said Anaheim
Union Water Co.
and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Public
Service Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5,
of the Government Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vaca-
tion and abandonment has been fixed on the 15th day of
October 1974, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in a manner prescribed by law in the
Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 24th day of September 1974.
