A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM GRANTING VARIANCE NO. 2627, IN
PART, FOR TWO YEARS.
WHEREAS, after a request for variance by The Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company, owner, was received, a
public hearing before the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim was held upon due and proper notice as a result of which
Variance No. 2627 was granted, in part, covering the following
described property:
That portion of Vineyard Lot E -2, in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 3, pages 109 and
110, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles, County,
California, as conveyed by deed to the California
Central Railway Company, dated June 7, 1887 and
recorded in Book 749, page 247, of Deeds, records
of said Los Angeles County.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM those portions conveyed to
Silzle Properties, Inc., by deeds recorded June 2,
1972 and June 28, 1972, in Book 10153, page 994, and
Book 10195, page 709, respectively, both Official
Records of said Orange County.
WHEREAS, thereafter, within the time prescribed by
law an interested party or the City Council on its own motion
caused the review of said Planning Commission action at a
public hearing noticed and held as prescribed by law and as a
result thereof the City Council does hereby make the following
findings:
1. That there are special circumstances applicable to
the property, including size, shape, topography,
location or surroundings, which do not apply to
other property under identical zoning classifica-
tion in the vicinity.
2. That, because of special circumstances shown in
(1) above, strict application of the zoning code
deprives the property of privileges enjoyed by
other property under identical zoning classifica-
tion in the vicinity.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim, that a conditional zoning variance be, and
the same is hereby granted, in part, permitting an outdoor
storage yard with waivers of the following sections of the Anaheim
Muncipal Code:

(Outdoor storage yard not
permitted)
SECTION 18.52.060(2)(c) 2.b Maximum fence height. (30
inches permitted; 10 feet
proposed)
That said variance be granted, in part, subject to the following
conditions:
1. That trash storage areas shall be provided in
accordance with approved plans on file with the office of the
Director of Public Works.
2. That subject property shall be developed substan-
tially in accordance with plans and specifications on file with
the City of Anaheim marked Exhibit No. 1.
3. That Conditions Nos. 1 and 2, above mentioned,
shall be complied with prior to the commencement of the activity
authorized under this resolution, or prior to the time that the
building permit is issued, or within a period of one year from
the date hereof, whichever occurs first, or such further time as
the City Planning Commission or City Council may grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that said conditional zoning variance be,
and the same is hereby granted, in part, for a period of two
years.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
reserves the right to revoke such variance permit for good
cause or failure of said owner, its successors or assigns to
comply with the Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations and
the conditions herein. Said variance is granted for the term
prescribed by the Anaheim Municipal Code unless otherwise speci-
fied herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 17th day of September, 1974.
