1974-237WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has caused to be built
and operates a multi- purpose stadium for the public presentation
of major sports and non sports events within the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Anaheim to
have Southern California Professional Football, Inc., a Cali-
fornia corporation, as owner of a professional football team
to have said team play all their "home" games in said stadium;
and
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council
of the City of Anaheim an agreement to be made and entered into
by and between the City of Anaheim and Southern California
Professional Football, Inc. under and by virtue of which Southern
California Professional Football, Inc. agrees to play and exhibit
all of the home games of the Southern California Sun in
said stadium, the terms of which agreement the City Council finds
to be satisfactory and in the best interests of the City and
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement submitted to the City
Council, to be made and entered into by and between the City
of Anaheim and Southern California Professional Football,
Inc, for the use of the Anaheim Stadium for the playing and
exhibition of professional football games in the City of Anaheim
upon the terms and conditions set forth in said agreement, be,
and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 21st day of May 1974.
