A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR DEPUTY FIRE MARSHAL,
FIRE BATTALION CHIEF AND POLICE LIEUTENANT JOB CLASSES
AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 74R-521 AND 74R-522 AND RE-
SCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 75R-593.
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Personnel Director have reviewed
rates of compensation for Deputy Fire Marshal, Fire Battalion Chief and
Police Lieutenant job classes and have determined a need for establishing
new rates of compensation for these job classes, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution
No. 74R-521 and No. 74R-522 and to rescind Resolution No. 75R-593, which
established rates of compensation for Deputy Fire Marshal, Fire Battalion
Chief and Police Lieutenant job classes, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
establishing new rates of compensation for Police Lieutenant, Fire Battalion
Chief and Deputy Fire Marshal job classes is in the best interests of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Anaheim does hereby amend Resolution No. 74R-521 and No. 74R-522 and
rescind Resolution No. 75R-593 by establishing new rates of compensation as
follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an employee in one of the job classes
listed above shall be compensated at his existing rate of pay until the
appropriate department head affirms that the services of the employee have
been found to be satisfactory. At such time an employee shall have his salary
adjusted and shall retain his salary step status in the newly authorized salary
schedule and shall retain the same anniversary date for purposes of merit pay
increases, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended, Resolution
No. 74R-521 and No. 74R-522 shall remain in full force and effect, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution
shall be April 2, 1976.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this 30th
