A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY

OF ANAHEIM AMENDING AND EDIAi3LISHING RATES
OF COMPENSATION FOR VARIOUS JO CLASSES BY
GRANTING AN INTERIM IN -CREASE OF FIVE PERCENT
TO CLASSIFICATIONS REPRESENTED BY THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, THE INTER-
NATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL 117ORKERS
ANID CERTAIN MNREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES TO BE
EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 17, 1975.
WHERE -AS, the City of Anaheim determines the terms and
conditions of employment by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the wages,
salaries and conditions of employment presently existing are
subject to meeting and conferring under the provisions of the
Meyers-Milias Brown Act and, therefore, erefore, are indefinite and sub-
ject to future determination; and

H-HEREAS,the City Council, by its Resolutions No.
75R-591 and No. 75R-592, previously expressed the desire to make
amendments to present Resolutions covering wages, hours and con-
ditions of employment effective on or after October 17, 1975;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council in order to demonstrate its
good faith desires to amend presently existing Resolutions cover-
ing classifications represented by the Anaheim Municipal Employees
Association (except Telephone Operator), the International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and classifications for unrep-
resented employees (except Department Heads, Division Heads and
employees in CETA work experience classifications) so as to grant
an interim increase in compensation of 'Live percent (5%) to be
effective on October 17, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that except as to
provide for the said five percent (5%) interim increase that the
present Resolutions covering wages, hours and conditions of em-
ployment. for classifications represented by the Anaheim 1.4unicipal
Employees Association (except Telephone Operator), the Inter-
national Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and classifications
for unrepresented employees (except Department Heads, Division
Heads and employees in CETA work experience classifications)
shall remain in effect until superseded.
NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that pending the completion of meeting and
conferring with certain bargaining unit representatives that a
five percent (50) interim increase in compensation shall be
granted to all classifications represented by the Anaheim 1,4unici-
Pal Employees Association (except Telephone Operator), the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and classifica-
tions for unrepresented employees (except Department Heads,
Division Heads and employees in CETA work experience classifica-
tions).

BE IT FU-11THER RESOLVED that presently existing
Resolutions covering classifications represented by the Anaheim
Municipal Employees Association (except Telephone Operator),
the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and classi-
fications for unrepresented employees (except Department Heads,
Division Heads and employees in CETA work experience classifica-
tions) shall be amended so as to grant said five percent (5%)
interim increase in compensation to be effective on October 17,
1975.
