A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 89R-362 NHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR
CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS EXECUTIVE NANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff
repoPt dated August 21, 1990, that certain Executive Management pay policies
relating to merit increases and promotions be amended effective August 31,
1990; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the City Council desires to amend
Resolution No. 89R-362 which established rates of compensation for
classifications designated as Executive Management; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
amending Resolution No. 89R-362 as set forth herein below is in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No. 89R-362 be, and the same is hereby, amended as
foll ows:
1. Subsection 5.3 of Section 5 is amended by adding thereto the
fol lowing paragraph:
"Employees in classifications listed in Section 2 of this Resolution
No. 89R-362 may be eligible fop a special salary adjustment as approved by the
City Manager. Employees in the classifications of City Attorney, City Clerk,
City Manager and City Treasurer may be eligible for a special salary adjustment
as approved by the City Council."
2. Subjection 5.6 of Section 5 ts amended to read as follc~s:
"An employee who ts promoted to a job class listed in this resolution
shall be placed at the minimum of the ne~ range oP at a salary in the range
which provides a 15% pay increase as long as it does not exceed the market
point (100% compa-Patio). If a 15% increase would place the employee's salary
beyond the market point, the employee shall Petelye a minimum of 5% increase oP
an increase between 5% and 15% in order to bring the employee to the market
point provided, however, that in no event shall the employee's salary exceed
the cont0ol point."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of said amendment to
Resolution No. 89R-362 is August 31, 1990.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended herein, Resolution
No. 89R-362 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
