RESOLUTION NO. 73R- 59
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
AND ABANDON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING
A DATE FOR HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941 in connection with a request for vacation and
abandonment of a portion of Mable Street, located east of Loara
Street, north of Broadway, in the City of Anaheim, which the
applicant proposes to rededicate in a new alignment, more fully
hereinafter described, subject to the following conditions:
1. That the applicant reconstruct the proposed new
street to meet City of Anaheim standard street
improvements and submit plans for same for approval
of the City Engineer.
2. That the cost of removing existing street improve-
ments, the cost of improving the proposed new street
and any relocation of existing facilities be accom-
pliShed at no cost to the City of Anaheim.
3. That the proposed new street be dedicated at the
time of abandonment of existing roadway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to
vacate, abandon and close to public use a portion of Mable
Street, located east of Loara Street, north of Broadway, as it
may relate to the following described property, to wit:
All that certain parcel of land, situated in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, lying in
the Northwest Quarter and the Northeast Quarter of Section
l6, Township 4 South, Range lO West, in the Rancho San
Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, per map recorded in Book Sl, page
10 of Miscellaneous Maps records of said County and being
a portion of the land described in that certain indenture
between the Pacific Improvement Company and the Southern
Pacific Company, recorded July 24, 1893, in Book 67, page
309, of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County and being
also a portion of the land defined on the map of that
certain survey, filed October l8, 1971, in Book 92, page 9,
Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County, being more particularly bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the West line
of that certain 60 foot wide strip of land identified as
Adams Street on said map filed in Book 92, page 9 of said
Record of Surveys, with the North line of that certain 60
foot wide strip of land identified as Mable Street, on
last said map; thence South 880 Sl' 15" West, along said
North line, 385.73 feet, to the beginning of a tangent
curve, concave southwesterly, and having a radius of 73.00
feet; thence Northeasterly, Easterly, and Southeasterly,
along the arc of said curve, through a central angle of

340 00' 15", a distance of 43.32 feet to its point of tan-
gency in a line bearing South 570 08' 30" East and being
parallel with and distant Northeasterly 75 feet measured
at right angles, from the southeasterly prolongation of the
southwesterly boundary line of that certain 8.092 acre
parcel of land defined on last said map; thence South
570 08' 30" East, along last said tangent line, 84.97
feet, to its point of intersection with a line parallel
with and distant Southerly, 60.00 feet, measured at right
angles from said North line of Mable Street; thence North
880 51' lS" East, along said parallel line being the
South line of said Mable Street, 250.97 feet, to its
point of intersection with said West line of Adams Street;
thence North 200 14' 54" East, along said West line, 64.44
feet, to the Point of Beginning.
and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941, subject to the conditions hereinabove
stated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation and abandonment has been fixed on the 6th day of
March , 1973, at l:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ~~e City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in a manner prescribed by law in the
Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
