RESOLUTION NO. 73R- 30
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT WITa THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL
ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the California Council on Criminal Justice
is the agency of the State of Califo~nia designated to, among
other things, initiate, administer, Coordinate and implement
requests for federal grants, and app~ove sub-grants to certain
government agencies to aid in the general improvement of law
enforcement and the administration of justice~ and
WHEREAS, the California C01l111cil on Criminal Justice
may consent to review for possible funding the project sub-
mitted by the City of Anaheim referred to as BROTHER'S KEEPER
COMMUNITY PROGRAM; and
WHEREAS, an application to the California Council on
Criminal Justice for a grant for law enforcement purposes has
been submitted to the City Council for approval~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in
the best interests of the City to execute and submit said
application for grant for law enforcement purposes to the
California Council on Criminal Justice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim, that said application for grant for law
enforcement purposes to the California Council on Criminal
Justice be, and it is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, directed and authorized
to execute said application for grant for law enforcement
purposes for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the California
Council on Criminal Justice consents to fund the BaDTHER'S
KEEPER COMMUNITY PROGRAM project, the Cit~ of An~eim agrees
to accept the grant and the City Manager 1S hereby directed and
authorized to execute said agreement for said grant for and on
behalf of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim agrees
to provide the matching funds to said project and agrees that
grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant
ongoing law enforcement expenditures.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 23rd day of January, 1973.
