ACTION TAKEN
1) CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chair
Kleine.
2) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chair Kleine led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll was taken; quorum confirmed.
3) UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: Human and Neighborhood Services Manager Joe
Perez introduced Nadia Martinez from Housing & Community Development who provided a brief
overview of the non-profit agency performance report.
4) SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None.
5) APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Kleine presented the corrected meeting minutes for February
12, 2026, and the meeting minutes for February 19, 2026, for Board Members' review and
consideration of any necessary revisions. Board Member Barnett moved to approve both sets of
minutes, and Chair Kleine received the minutes.
6) NEW BUSINESS: FY25/26 CDBG Funding Cycle
a) Non -Profit Agency Funding Recommendations — The CSB discussed and came to consensus on
two potential levels of funding for the FY26/27 public service allocation of $273,331 in funding. The
first with flexibility on funding amount based on this transition year, and the second based on the
new minimum of $25,000 funding amount for non-profit agencies. The funding recommendations
are as follows:

7) INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Linda Ly, Senior Administrative Analyst with Housing & Community
Development, reported that CDBG applicants have been notified of a public hearing scheduled for
March 18 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber. She noted that attendees will have the opportunity to
share views on community needs, provide public comment, and learn about the recommendations
being forwarded to the City Council.
8) ADJOURNMENT: Chair Kleine adjourned the meeting at 7:15 p.m. and reported that the next meeting
is scheduled for July 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
