A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ABANDON
WASSER ROAD AND TAFT AVENUE, AND FIXING A DATE
FOR A HEARING THEREON. (76 -14A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
does hereby elect to proceed under the Street. Vacation Act
of 1941 (Section 8300 et seq., Streets and Highways Code)
in connection with the abandonment and vacation of public
streets located within the City of Anaheim.
WHEREAS, the public convenience and necessity
require the reservation of the following described easement
and rights of way for the following described purposes in
favor of the following persons:
an easement for public utility purposes in the
easterly thirty feet of the south half of
existing Taft Avenue in favor of the City of
Anaheim
and such proceedings are taken subject to such reservations
and exceptions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby declare its intention to
abandon Nasser Road and Taft Avenue North of Cerittos Avenue
in the City of Anaheim as further shown on a map or plan on
file in the Office of the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 24th day of May,
1977, at 3:00 o'clock P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter
may be heard, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 204 East
Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, be the time and place for hearing
evidence to be offered by all persons interested in or objecting
to said vacation and abandonment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, directed to post, or cause to be posted, this
resolution of intention along the line of said proposed
vacation. Such notices shall be posted at least 10 days before
the hearing date and shall be posted not more than 300 feet
apart, but at least three such notices shall be posted.
