A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHELA SETTING FORTH LOCAL CONDITIONS
JUSTIFYING A•EN=NTS TO THE UNIFOR ECHAN-
ICAL CODE, 1976 EDITION.
WLERLAS, Health and Safety Code Section 1795C.5 provides
for the City to make chances or modifications in the Uniform lechan-
ical Code, 1976 Edition, as are reasonably necessary 'because of
local conditions; and
WHEREAS, Health and. Safety Code Section 17951i.7 requires
the City Council to make express findings of the necessity for
modifications in the Uniform Mechanical Code before adopting such
changes; and
WhEREAS, the Chief Building Inspector of the City of
Anaheim has recommended that the Uniform Hechanical Code, 1976
Edition, be adopted by the City with certain modifications and
amendments which are required by local conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT P,ESOLVED that the modifications
recommended by the Chief Building inspector are hereby found to
be necessary on account of local conditions as follows:
Sections 15.50.001 through 15.50.304. These amend-
ments are administrative in nature and adopt the 1976
Uniform Hechanical Code by reference as well as make
it compatible with other codes enforced by the City
of Anaheim.
Sections 15.50.500 through 15.50.513. These amend-
ments establish requirements for equipment location,
equipment screening, and noise regulations that are
consistent with local planning and zoning regulations.
Section 15.50.1109. This amendment requires all new
commercial grease hoods to be fitted with an approved
automatic fire extinguishing system. This is neces-
sary to be consistent with fire prevention policies.
Section 15.50.1202. This amendment controls the in-

City policy requiring an exhaust system for residen-
tial cooking facilities. This is necessary to provide
a means of exhausting grease, moisture and odors in
all dwelling units which include apartments, condo-
miniums as well as single homes.

together with the Ordinance adopting the Uniform Mechanical Code
as amended, be filed with the State Department of Housing and
