A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 76R-576
AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A NEW TRAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAY PATROL, RELATING TO
COMMERCIAL ENFORCEMENT CLASSES FOR ANAHEIM
POLICE OFFICERS AT THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY
PATROL ACADEMY.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to send
certain officers of the Anaheim Police Department to
attend Commercial Enforcement classes conducted by the
State of California, Department of Highway Patrol, at
the California Highway Patrol Academy; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of
Highway Patrol, is willing to furnish such training
services and to allow certain officers of the Anaheim
Police Department to use its Highway Patrol Academy facili-
ties while attending said training classes; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 76R-576, dated
September 21, 1976, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
approved the terms and conditions of that certain training
Agreement No. 140 between the City of Anaheim and the State
of California Department of Highway Patrol providing for
the training, housing and status of Anaheim Police Officers
while attending Commercial Enforcement classes at the
California Highway Patrol Academy and providing for the
manner of bearing the cost and expense of training and
housing Anaheim Police Officers attending said classes; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the signing of said
Agreement by the Mayor Pro Tem and the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim, the parties thereto have found it necessary
to revise certain provisions of said Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Highway Patrol has
submitted a new Agreement No. 140, the terms of which are
satisfactory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 76R-576 be
rescinded and that Training Agreement No. 140, this day
submitted to the City Council to be made and entered into
between the City of Anaheim and the State of California,
Department of Highway Patrol, providing for the training,
housing and status of Anaheim Police Officers attending
w._ Commercial Enforcement classes at its California Highway
Patrol Academy upon the terms and conditions, and for the
compensation set forth in said Agreement be, and the same is
hereby approved.

HE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOIIJG RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 2nd day of November , 1976.
